One is the loneliest number…

Welcome to FF247 Site Team News GW24

Another poor week for the Site Team with lot’s of players getting 1s and 2s, but thankfully everyone else had a terrible week so somehow we ended on a green arrow! 50 points which was above the 44 weekly average. We are still languishing around the 2 million odd rank, however.

We only had 4 players return and a big thank you to them. Bowen with 12, Szoboszlai with 13, Semenyo with 8 and James with 6. Not setting the world alight but solid returns none the less.

Our Gameweek 23 Result

We have 0.3 in the bank and 2 free transfers to use ahead of GW24. Let’s go see what was decided….

Our GW24 Transfer(s)

We wanted Bruno F in our midfield and wanted rid of Gordon. The only way we could do it was Ekitike downgrade. We were about to do it but realised our defence is a shambles so needed sorting. Dorgu getting injured long term made him a must go. That means Bruno F dream is set to the side. We didnt have much money so very little options.

Mbeumo and Hill were the pair as we still want a slice of those nice United fixtures and the new Carrick bounce.

To confirm then we have SOLD Gordon and Dorgu and BOUGHT Mbeumo and Hill

Captain – Haaland

PREDICTED LINE-UPS

Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

Do I just swap Bruno-Mbuemo and leave Dorgu till next week?
Did think about a Chelsea defender but not enough funds unless I ditch Nunes.
I can play Alderete instead of Dorgu.
    Any thoughts?

    • You have 5 FT. I say do the transfers now. Dorgu is out a while.

      • I don’t have enough unless I ditch Nunes.
I could get Mbuemo, Chalobah and a bench player instead.

        • Go for it. Who would you take out?

        • Is that Bruno.G > Mbuemo and Dorgu > Chalobah? if so I would do that and bench Wilson.

I would also maybe be tempted to play Rogers, I think Bowen will only get a goal if he takes a pen.

        • Terminators, it’s..
          Bruno G – mbuemo
          Nunes – Chalobah
          Dorgu – 3.9m bench player.

I would have to play Alderete.

        • This is a reply to your last comment (idk why it won’t let me reply to that one).

Nunes > Chalobah is a bit of a sideways move imo.

          Is something like this possible?
Dorgu > ? how much money do you have left
          Bruno.G > Enzo
          Rogers/Wilson > Mbuemo
          Bowen > Mane

        • Terminators, if i do
          Bruno.G > Enzo
          Wilson > Mbuemo
          Bowen > Mane
it leaves me with 2.2m for any dorgu upgrade

    • If you do Rogers > Mbuemo would that leave you with £3.8m? Reinildo or Gudmundsson who is out for a couple of weeks.

      • Already have a Sunderland player.

Not sure if I came across right.

If I do the Enzo, mbuemo and mane moves, it will give me 2.2m left to upgrade dorgu

        • Oh, yes do that then.
          Thiaw > Gabriel
Dorgu > one of the other Man U Def.

          Play 3-5-2

        • If I ditch Thiaw and Dorgu for Gabriel and a man it’s defender and go 3-5-2 I am going to be benching decent defenders unless I double gooner, or bench one.
Maybe my team is going wrong..lol

        • Gone with this set up.
          Brought in mbuemo and Hill.
I know lack of Chelsea will haunt me.
Next week I will get Enzo.
I want to keep Bowen as I know he can get goals and assists, plus they have Burnley next week.
Want to keep an eye on Ekitike minutes as now Salah back it could be rotated more with Gakpo

  2. Do this look set?

    • The only change I would be thinking about is maybe switching the GK’s.

  3. I may swap Guehi for Timber if I can find out if the latter is playing.

    • Arteta said he was good. Rested against the CL opponent.

  4. Heya everyone.
Haven’t consulted with anyone, but have gone forward with a WC. Am unable to do a screenshot for the moment, but have decided on the following:
    Raya – Dubra
    Gabes-Guehi-Chalobah-Mukiele-Hill
    Rice – Bruno F – Mbeumo – Enzo-Semenyo
Haaland – JP – Kroupi Jr
Changes would have come to a minus 32, so I figured it was the right time. Tried to be original but fell into a template team that many will probably have. Still it excites me to have all that talent under one roof!
    Cheers- more tomorrow !
    😉 AJW.

    • Oh and 1.5m left ITB!
      Wiggle room,! 😉
      See yahs!

    • I think Raya is a waste of Arsenal place, can you not spend the £1.5 and get in Timber?

    • I would definitely prefer Timber over Raya if I wanted double Arsenal defense. Raya gets no safe points, no bps, just clean sheet odds.

Timber has attacking potential, no defcon potential. (only got it two times) and some bps potential, especially if he assists or scores.

Timber currently sits on 110 points, Raya 93. If I was on wildcard I’d go Dan he and Dub and Gabriel Timber. Mukiele also awesome pick.

      • Thanks fellows. Well I did have Timber, and Kelleher as GKP, but changed them around to Raya and Chalobah. Who would I sell to get Timber? And who is Dan? Do you mean Donnaruma? Anyway thanks again for the advice.

    • JP won’t be playing. He’s looking for a transfer

  5. Sitting on a tasty 4 free transfers atm. Would love to hear some advice on them. I’d like to only use 3 if possible so I can attack the double game week with 2ft in 26. I was thinking Saka + Foden + Dorgu OUT Rice + Bruno + Munoz IN. Thoughts?

    • Would love to get some Chelsea in but not sure who. I could go Enzo over rice

      • Enzo over Cunha?

      • Do you not think he will get good game time now that Dorgu is out?

        • Mbeumo is the better option than Cunha and with the current run of games Enzo is the best way into Chelsea.

        • Fair call, thanks!

        • I think I’d have Mbeumo over Cunha, even though he’ll get more game time now. Mbeumo is playing as the focal point

      • Also saka out is more of a cash cow move, cunha to Enzo might not be enough money out

  6. I was silly going early on Dorgu to save the price rise. Waste of a trade.

    • I was able to do the trade, get the price rise, then trade out for Hill on my WC, hedging some of the value lost in the whole process. Like bodysurfing the waves at Cronulla – it’s good if you get the timing right! Cheers Bunnies! 😉

      • I’m staying out of the water, too many Bull Sharks been spotted in the water

        • Oh yeah I saw that. Sydney’s become like a scene from Jaws! That poor wee fellow that died in hospital the other day. Terrible stuff. They say it may be because of the ‘effluent’ that is being pumped out beyond the beaches.
          Anyway take care mate.

        • It’s just so much rain lately
