Welcome to FF247 Site Team News GW28
DEFCON contributions have dominated conversations on X in recent weeks. We fall firmly into the “take the points and say thank you” camp. This week we were the grateful recipients of no fewer than four bonus pairs — Semenyo, KDH, Rice and Bowen all hitting their respective thresholds. Bonus. Literally.
Elsewhere, James somehow emerged with a clean sheet despite Chelsea losing theirs, and a trio of sixes from our captain (doubled to 12), Hill and Boomo meant it was, all things considered, a perfectly respectable week.
In the end, only three of our eleven blanked. 52 points was seven above the average and enough for another green arrow. We climb from 2,123,375 to 1,963,779. We’re clearly not winning the league this year, but we are at least facing the right direction — albeit very slowly.

We have £0.9 in the bank and 2 free transfer to use ahead of GWXX. Let’s go see what was decided….
Our GW28 Transfer(s)
Transfers are now a remarkably efficient process at Site Team HQ. This week was no different.
Me: “We could do Saliba to Virgil and roll the second transfer?”
Quickly followed by: “We could also do Bowen to Thiago.”
A poll was posted. The people spoke. Unanimous agreement on both moves. We even received a pair of votes from the now-retired Swirly — still contributing despite no longer being an active participant. A huge miss around here. Democracy, it seems, is alive and well.
We even put the armband up for public vote this week. The winner? Thiago. We may be going slightly against the grain, but when you’re playing serious catch-up, safety first isn’t exactly the motto.
Good hunting, folks.

I already have Semenyo… and I’m also avoiding all City and Arsenal as I want to navigate BGW31 without burning my FH.

Probably Dango Outtara, if you want to avoid Semenyo, Mbeumo is likely the highest, but he is above 8.5

Dango Outtara is a great shout. I think it’s between these now for me…

This will likely change over the next couple of hours, but currently on Wilson due to:

That’s very tight… bookies have it 17/10 vs 9/5 in favour of KLP to score or assist – but it’s so marginal it’s the toss of a coin.
