FF247 Site Team News GW32
Baaaaaa
Welcome to FF247 Site Team News GW32
It feels like an age since GW31 wrapped. In fact, we’d almost forgotten it was a blank gameweek, with Arsenal, Man City, Wolves and Palace all taking the week off. Easy to forget when half the league disappears.
Looking at our score, though, we actually did pretty well. Yes, there were the usual disappointments — Hill firmly cementing his place at the top of our sh*t list with a -1 — but let’s not dwell on that. Positivity, for once.
The highlight of the week was captain Wilson, who delivered 18pts. Not quite Bruno Fernandes levels, but given we don’t even own the Man United talisman, we’ll take that return with open arms and no questions asked. Elsewhere, Gordon chipped in with 10pts, Keane added 8, and Tiago somehow scraped his way to 4pts via DEFCON. We’re not entirely sure how, but we’re not asking questions.
A green arrow follows, with our 54pts sitting a healthy 16 above the 38pt average. We move up from 2,334,401 to 2,205,406. Try to contain the excitement.
Our Gameweek 31 Result

We have £0.9 in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of GWXX. Let’s go see what was decided….
Our GW32 Transfer(s)
It’s not been a vintage season, and we’re not entirely convinced it’s about to suddenly turn into one. But we’re not giving up just yet. We are, however, embracing the herd mentality. Resistance is futile.
All our chips are still intact, so we’re going with the classic, painfully template strategy: WC32, BB33, FH34 and TC36. Sensible. Predictable. Slightly boring.
The Wildcard is now active, and we’ve landed on 14 doublers plus Bruno Fernandes. We’d likely have gone all-in with 15 if not for the small matter of Fernandes being the standout captain this week. Not owning him in recent weeks has cost us dearly, so this feels like an overdue correction. Or at least that’s what we’re telling ourselves.
There’s probably little point breaking down every pick. The pool is limited, most teams will share 9–10 of the same players, and whether they’re the right ones is anyone’s guess. We certainly don’t have a clue. Evidence suggests we never have.
Good luck all.
To confirm then we have played our wildcard

PREDICTED LINE-UPS

Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

We’re finally back!
AJW
Hey thanks Rosco!
Welcome back to everyone! It’s been a long hard break!
Just sharing my (inner) thoughts for what it’s worth.
Re: The team below, I traded Ekitiké for Haaland (I have 2 more FTs and 2.2m up my sleeve for next GW) this week, and planning the BB for GW 33, and might get in O’Reilly, Palmer,, Petrovic and either Tavernier or Mitoma (for a -4 hit, or may add Darlow for a -8, but that’s going a bit far I think!). This will give me 9 doublers for the BB, and after GW 34 FH, we’ll play it by ear.
Whatcha reckon? Sounds like a decent plan Stan???
Have a great return to FPL and the business end of proceedings, and don’t forget to watch a bit of footy!!
Bye for now, AJW 😉

If so, am in the same dilemma as you man. Do you think a -8hit is the best play?
