One last hurrah
Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW38
So here we are then, the last gameweek at the end of what has been a topsy turvy season. One where we’ve had to shift our expectations rather sharpish too, as the finish this time last year of 4,238 – our best ever – is all but a distant memory. Now we’ll be happy to finish in the top 1 million, as we sit over 100,000 places beyond that.
Our Gameweek 37 Result
Such a hoped trajectory to maybe have six figures as a rank come the end of the season is a dream that has been bolstered by our performance in Gameweek 37.
Starting off with the heroics of Ezri Konsa with his goal and clean sheet to make 15 points, we were also carried along to a big green arrow by the 10 points of Wissa, eight from Marmoush and the fives by Mbeumo and Watkins. The Villa striker’s haul was doubled as he had the armband.
While the rest of the team was rather “Meh” when it came to their points totals, we still got a very respectable 65 and a gameweek rank of 394,665. Sure we would have picked up more points from Kiwior or Williams who were on the bench, but we can’t complain really. A 190k green arrow a lovely reward at the end of all of that, nonetheless.
We have £1.2m in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of GW38. Let’s go see what was decided….
Our GW38 Transfer(s)
First things first, there’s a bench boost chip we’ve still got. Sure we could have used it when there was a double gameweek like a lot of other FPL managers did, but who wants to just blend in with the crowd?!
So, with that in mind, we need to look at all 15 players in the squad and see who our biggest liability is with the one free transfer that we’ve got. A quick shout for Muñoz who has Liverpool away came up, to everyone’s agreement. And the replacement was also immediately set upon: Bournemouth’s Kerkez who has the prospect of already-relegated Leicester coming to town.
There was a vote based on all midfielders and forwards as a fair few have good games. That turned out to be a futile exercise as everyone opted for Mo Salah at home to Crystal Palace – fingers crossed he can help the Champions’ party along with a few goals too. Not that it matters, but Saka is on vice captain duty.
Bench boost activated – let’s see what all 15 players can bring us and see if we can end the season with a flourish!
To confirm then we have SOLD Muñoz and BOUGHT Kerkez
Captain – Salah

Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

One more to go. What would you do with the likes of this? 2FT and I think the bank shows.
