Last Minute Magic!

Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW5

This is getting painful! We don’t know what is happening in FPL aspects anymore. We get blank after blank but this week Murillo isn’t the worst of the lot – Sels and Cucurella were the single pointers this week. Murillo did get injured after 36 minutes but somehow still managed to get 10 defensive contributions in that time so managed to get 3 points.

Where was the shining lights in our doom and gloom? Anderson finally got his defensive contributions after knocking on the door last few weeks. Ndiaye got 5 points after his clean sheet and DCs and Joao Pedro once again returned so a nice 7 pointer from him.

The best of the lot though was our last minute man, Mo Salah! Our Captain who managed to score a 95th minute penalty to get a clean sheet, goal and a bonus point for an 18 pt return.

We finished on 53 points which was 10 points below the weekly average so of course yet another red arrow came our way. We are getting well used to them at this point. Dropping back down to 6.71million

Our Gameweek 4 Result

We have £4.3m in the bank and 2 free transfers to use ahead of GW5. Let’s go see what was decided….

Our GW5 Transfer(s)

We weren’t doing much with our team and after rolling last week, we did consider rolling again but with the news of Murillo being a bit iffy. We he play? Won’t he play? We decided to just sell the defender as Big Ange is in now and we aren’t too sure how Forest will be affected by this.

We have decided to sell him to Crystal Palace maestro, Daniel Munoz. Palace are flying and Munoz is one we hope can help with that!

Captaincy was kind of easy – Watkins and Villa can’t score at all so while they have the best fixture we have decided to leave it on the tried and trusted Mo Salah.

To confirm then we have SOLD Murillo and BOUGHT Munoz

Captain – Salah

PREDICTED LINE-UPS

Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

  1. A few decisions to make.
    Captain?
    Keeper?
    Subs?

    • Keeper is 50/50, but personally I’d swap, I think Forest is more likely to score 2+.

Subs pretty spot on, maybe swap 2 and 3. But that shouldn’t matter.

We have the same front 3, but I am going haaland safer for minutes and on pens

      • Thanks Gavy. I switched to Haaland as soon as I posted. It just didn’t feel right on Ekitike.

    • I would think Sanchez for GK.
      Maybe Gudmundsson over Grealish.
      Captain is good.

      • Those are the same decisions I’m stuck with. Gudmunsson has burnt me every week but his form seems linked to home games. Same for the GK choice

  2. Long time since I posted here and just got back into fpl this season

On a wild card – How’s this looking?

    • Ndiaye seems unlikely to score big but your team looks solid

      • Cheers SAF I do have a bit in the bank, if I shift ndiaye I have 8.1 for another mid. Anyone you think might do better in that price range?

    • Isak could be a great long term shout. In the short term I expect his minutes to be managed though. Triple burnley seems to be okay since they’ll be on the bench most weeks but could think of replacing one. Rest looks good to me.

  3. 2 FT and 4.5 ITB
Is there anything to be done or should I roll over and with 3 FT+ a possible hit have a mini WC for the next GW?

    • Beto to j pedro or a better striker seems to be the best move

    • Beto is probably long term minutes risk with Barry around. With the amount of money in bank you can think of getting Mateta or Joao Pedro or even Gyokeres. Although next 2 fixtures for Gyokeres aren’t easy.

    • Thanks Reg and KP, something to ponder over. That said, with those tricky fixtures across the board this week will be a short in the dark to get the right player.

    • Looks good, I have Salah and Haaland, but am going with Salah as captain.

  4. Is this team bench boostable this week? I don’t want to keep a lot of money on the bench or use transfers just to play my bench boost. Happy if everyone starts and I get one return from my bench. Do we think there are issues with any of these players not starting?

    • Yeah go for it. May get a return or 2

    • I don’t love it, how many points do you see your bench getting?

      • Good with say 12 points (1 return and 4 starters). Don’t rate this chip highly especially with single game week players. These are usually your 4 worst players, unless you use transfers and/or have bench players who are expensive which means you are not spending as much on your 11.

  5. Hey guys,.any opinions on this WC team please?

    • Looks ok. I’d be tempted to get 1 more decent 4.5m def as a first bench / rotation option.

    • Looks good, Mbeumo would be my worry though.

    • Nick Pope?

  6. £0 ITB, 1FT.
    Is this okay?
