Our Gameweek 5 Result
Okay so things aren’t exactly going great this season. We are doing the correct decisions with the benching as we aren’t leaving massive hauls on the bench but that is mainly because the bench isn’t scoring any points anyway!
In fact, we didn’t have a single point on our bench this week with all four getting big fat ZEROS! Bergvall was on the bench but because of Diogo Jota’s no-show against Bournemouth, Bergvall came in with his 1 point.
He joined the other 4 players in our squad who got 2 points or less, Eze just snuck ahead of that group with 3 points thanks to his clean sheet. 4 players returned with a goal a piece so that’s nice… I suppose!
What is really killing us this season is the captaincy, since playing our TC in GW2 – and SMASHING IT! – things aren’t good viewing. Our captain has been outscored twice and matched once. We will be looking to rectify that this week and every other week in the future.
We finished on 52 points this week which was well below the average of 58. This saw a red arrow of about 800k dropping us to 2,873,770. Not Great!
We have 1.1 in the bank and 2 free transfers to use ahead of GW6. Let’s go see what was decided….
Our GW6 Transfer(s)
We weren’t sure what to do with our team this week but the wildcard was never mentioned. We have no major injuries, 11 players who should play, two who should make an appearance at the least and one waste of space – still looking at you, ValentÃn!
We all agreed there was a distinct lack of Arsenal and Mbeumo but we couldn’t really see an obvious and easy switch without too much hassle. A call to roll and hope for a bit of luck was even out forward!
A vote was needed to decide, very different opinions with 5 options and it started with no unanimous decision but a quick tidal change came and Mbeumo and Arsenal cover was chosen. We only really had one avenue to use and that was Jota and Robinson out with Mbeumo and Saliba coming in.
To confirm then we have SOLD Diogo Jota and Robinson and BOUGHT Mbeumo and Saliba
Not debate here as Haaland swept to victory for the armband vote.

PREDICTED LINE-UPS
Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

David Raya was not spotted with the rest of the Arsenal squad at the team hotel this evening. :x:
Ah damn it. Are you on WC bees?
I wouldn’t be taking him out on a hit. Never woth imo
If on a WC or have a ft maybe.
He might only miss 1 or 2. He’ll be back after the ib for sure.
How would you complete this wildcard?
1) Raya, Jackson and 9.5 on 2 defenders
2) Raya, Solanke and 9.7 on 2 defenders
3) Ederson, Havertz and 9.1 on 2 defenders
4) Flekken, Jackson, Saliba & 4.5 defender
5) Flekken, Solanke, Saliba & 4.7 defender

Even with Raya likely out for a week or two?
Yeah just been reading about raya doesn’t look good I’m on wildcard to so have replaced him with sanchez ,options 4 looks good
1 or 4. I’d probably take the chance to get the two Arsenal CB’s while you can. What with their ‘Stoke’ set-piece approach.
Banjo
Go with option 5 and take a punt on Lewis at 4.7 as City fixtures look good and he should hopefully get plenty of game time over that period. Obviously he might be subject to a bit of peptation but with Trent Gabe and Saliba you got enough cover
And I like Solanke for upcoming fixtures (will still probably score against United) and he will likely be on pens, certainly if Son out injured
Thanks all! This Raya thing has certainly put a spanner in the works! I’m surprised there’s no love for option 3. Is the thinking that Jackson/Solanke just offer more value than Havertz? Or that Arsenal’s defense is too solid not to double up?
Jackson just likely to be more ‘prolific’ than Havertz. In the loosest possible sense of the word.
I like 5. Solanke has scored back to back now.
Double Arsenal at the back looks very good for the next 3.
Loads of ok options for the last defender.
5 for me
Morning all
On a wildcard and pretty settled on it (finally!)
I like Porro for future fixtures, but should I have Saliba for now as Arsenal current fixtures are ace?

Personally I’d go double arsenal over Spurs all day long
Love it! It’s near identical to mine I’m gonna go Saliba over Porra, although Porro did make it into a lot of my drafts.
Thanks both. If I had Saliba, it would mean benching Rogers or Lewis. Thoughts? And who?
Yea I’m gonna end up with a similar problem. I’ll likely have Rogers and Lewis on the bench. If this decision is one or the other I’d play Rogers over Lewis.
Had a horrendously busy week at work and the planned WC didn’t happen. If that was good or bad we’ll find out soon.
The biggest dilemma is, do I play Sanchez or Flekken???

With the raya out chat I’m.seeing is neto worth a punt?

Itching to do Digne -> Saliba or Pedro -> Havertz for a -4hit, advisable or leave as is ???
