FF247 Site Team Gameweek 9
Now we saw him race ….. and we had Saliba, not a trace of luck on our side ….
Welcome to FF247 Site Team Gameweek 9
As has seemed to be the way more often than we would like, Gameweek 8 was another below average showing for the Site Team. Posting a meak and measley 34 points and two below the going rate of 36, we reside at 2,764,797 overall. Sigh.
Perhaps we have been spoiled in previous years and this is our regression to mean? (Bloody hope not – Ed.)
A case of sugar and sh(ingle) in defence as we owned William Saliba (-3) on Saturday evening and then Josko Gvardiol (10) on Sunday afternoon. Net 7 – that any good?, laugh or cry etc etc….
The defence was rounded out with two other players falling either side of average – Micky van de Ven (1) (no cleanie and booked) and Mark Flekken (4) (no cleanie but save points).
A quartet of 2s in the middle with Mbeumo, Gordon, Palmer and Johnson blanking, as did Dominic Calvert-Lewin (2) and our captain Erling Haaland (4). Finally we had Ollie Watkins (8) who had some decency as his goal and bonus at Fulham brought home the rinds, if not the actual bacon.
Our Gameweek 8 Result
We have £0.1mln in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of Gameweek 9. Let’s go see what was decided.
Our Gameweek 9 Transfer(s)
With only one move in the bank and just a single button to spend, we don’t have a lot of wriggle room here readers. ‘Can we do nothing and roll for the week?’ was the first thought. Turns out we have a strong captain and most of our players have really good fixtures with most of them at home so yes we could. The keep calm and ‘save-FT-and-see-if-our-luck-turns’ decision was waved through and so we are doing nothing except hope that Haaland does well (but not too well as our TC has gone on him already).
To confirm then we have SAVED OUR FREE TRANSFER
Captain – Erling Haaland
We hope he does well – but not as well as Gameweek 2 please.

PREDICTED LINE-UPS
Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

Both leagues will be shut to new entrants as of 01/01/25.
I’m guessing Triple C for Haaland is happening for those who haven’t used it already?…
Not going to be a much better single gw fixture. We will prob all wait and fall in to the dgw trap
Current team and have 3 FT, is there anyone must have that I should be looking to use my FT’s to get?
Team seems reasonable for this week tbf.

I think this looks fine tbh., just roll with it
Totally forgot about the new rule that your FT’s will carry over after wildcarding , thought I was looking at a – 4 to shift Kovacic to get Foden in for Saka, happy days

Everyone all in Haaland triple captain?
Yup, going for it. Can’t remember the last time saving it for a DGW actually worked out for me.
Good luck!
Yes just going for it. Doku and grealish out is good for haaland. Southampton at home best possible fixture.
How is this looking for a WC team? Any changes you would make? Should I keep Flekken or go with Sels?

Keane may not last long with Braithwaite coming back
Mykolenko worth the 0.1m if you can find it
Dibling to Winks and then Keane to Myk?
Yes Wood! What a sensation he has been last 2 pl games since i sold havertz for him last gw!
