Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Double Gameweek 29

Scott McTominay song (to the tune of ‘Awimbawe’ …)

….. IN THE GAMEWEEK, THE DOUBLE GAMEWEEK, THE SCOTSMAN RULES THE WORLD …..

Forgive the author, he is a very proud Scot who is still giddy off the back to back wins for the national team in Euro 2024 qualifying where they took care of Cyprus (3-0) and (with so much ease, 2-0) versus Spain.

Arriba!

Back to work now though and we prepare for Double Gameweek 29 and a huge one at that. Huge it is!

As always, we cast an eye back to the previous week and a milestone has been reached. Your FF247 Team has crashed the top quarter of a million. Moving 62 thousand places to 234,423 overall and we are primed for a right rattle at the forthcoming double gameweek.

For the second time in three weeks, Tyrone Mings (12) is carrying us to the points. Twelve points made up of a clean sheet, an assist and a sweep of the bonus. The rest of the five man defence and goalkeeper don’t deserve the time of day.

A two-man Arsenal midfield of Saka and Odegaard combined for 20 points with Bukayo (18) very much doing the heavy lifting.

The three-man strike force of Ivan Toney (2), Ollie Watkins (5) and captain Harry Kane (12). Meh. Not a total disaster and we focus on the green arrow and move on ….

Our Gameweek 28 Result

We have £7.3m in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of Double Gameweek 29. Let’s go see what was decided.

IT CAN ONLY BE ONE MAN!

Kidding. To save you looking he hasn’t scored or assisted for Manchester United this season and is £4.9m. Is he going to play now that Casemiro is suspended? Who knows? Is he going to continue his international form into the domestic game? It would be fun.

But the real news is …

Our Double Gameweek 29 Transfer(s)

Like the rest of us, we are hesitant to lose any Arsenal players seeing as they are top of the league, home to Leeds and in red-hot form (now that it is written down, WHAT ARE WE DOING!?…. ) but, who doesn’t love a Double Gameweek? This is what they are for! Seeing as we only currently have Marcus Rashford representing Manchester United ahead of games at stuttering Newcastle and at home to Brentford, we felt that trying to capitalise on what could be two very favourable results for the Red Devils, we would look to invest further.

Therfore we put up two United players in two games, against Arsenal in one (admittedly very) good game. Luck be with us!

Saka stays though!

To confirm then we have SOLD GABRIEL & MARTIN ODEGAARD and BOUGHT LUKE SHAW & BRUNO FERNANDES

Captain – MARCUS RASHFORD

Once we were informed that ETH had “good hope that he’ll be available” and being mindful just how important he is to Manchester United’s renaissance, we’re happy to proceed with the planned captaincy of the England international (who missed playing for England during the international break by an entire and complete coincidence …. )

Clubmate Bruno Fernandes will pick up the slack (and the armband) if worst happens.

Chip Active – BENCH BOOST

No better time to play this we feel with even our single gamewek players in decent looking games. Saka has Leeds, Harry Kane has Everton and everyone else has two.

Predicted Line-ups and FPL Team News

Rather than clutter the site up on deadline eve with too many articles we have tagged our predicted line-ups on here.

As a quick reminder –

There are two versions of this article.

The one below has a drop-down version. It’s fairly idiot proof – you simply click on the small arrow to the right of the team name and you get a drop-down list of all the teams. Simply click on the one you want to see and hey presto, etc.

The other one is permanently live and has the ‘nicer’ grid layout. If you want to see that version you can click here. This can also be easily accessed at any time via a myriad of links on our homepage – Header link, Hot Topics link, Quick Access link on mobile and it is also linked towards the end of all of our regular articles.

You can access our live feed to these here.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen ,
What should I do with these lot? 1ft, 0.6 m it.

    Shadow says:

Not sure what to do with this lot.

Ward, Saliba, Haaland all could go but only 1FT.

Planning to use BB so want as many DGW as possible.

    MrMajeika says:

Who’s everyone’s captain this week. Kind if want to stick it on rashford but I’ve brought in mitoma and I kind of have a feeling a lot will captain him especially in my mini league so if they do it kind of defeats the purpose of bringing him in. Also slight doubt about rashfords minutes

    Terminators says:

This is my team, I am still going to bench boost.
I used my 1FT to bring back to my team Estupiñán.

Anyone think Havertz worth a punt for this Double?

    Mid-priced myself says:

    Hi all,

Probably many of us will use BB this GW. Is anyone thinking Raya -> Iversen (even though that means -4)?

Raya plays against Brighton and ManU, which we all know they will score. Iversen is against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa. I’m probably waiting for a miracle, but one clean sheet out of those would pay that -4 back.

So, banking 1M with that Iversen would be very helpful later, thinking abiut DGW34.
