FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Double Gameweek 34
Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Double Gameweek 34
One of those weeks again where we don’t know whether to puff out our cheeks in boredom or lift our eyebrows in a mood of optimism and calculated realism for the end of season run-in.
So much as to say we scored above the average for the week – 66 for us, which is above the 61 benchmark – but we show a red arrow for the week and land at 167,149 overall for the time being.
The GIF of Larry David from Curb Your Enthusiasm swithering would be inserted here were your author more tech savvy.
Martin Dubravka of Newcastle is our man in-between the posts and has posted 7 then 8 in his last two weeks which is welcome and worthy of a little mention.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joao Cancelo – as mentioned last week in the 2-2 review – just produce points. Two sixes from them again form the base of a very reliable stream of backline points.
We had Mohamed Salah but not as captain and the 19 points are *sighs*, well, 19 points aren’t they? Bukayo Saka and his performance at Chelsea hauled a lovely little 10-pointer for the team.
James Ward-Prowse‘s double gameweek (and that of his Saints striking compadre Armando Broja) produced the baseline 5 points (Broja 3) ….
Ivan Toney scored 1 and captain Harry Kane got 4 so this review certainly fizzled out didn’t it?
Onwards!
Our Gameweek 33 Result…
We have £2.0mln in the bank and 2 free transfers to use ahead of Double Gameweek 34. We also retain all three regular chips – Bench Boost, Triple Captain and Free Hit. Let’s go see what was decided.
Our Double Gameweek 34 Transfer(s)
With two free transfers in hand and Chelsea having a double, one of which is against United (sorry not sorry), we felt the need to dip into the transfer market for at least one of the boys in blue.
Mount was the most fancied of the midfielders and when it was proposed that Alonso fitted within budget for Conor Coady as well, it was very quickly voted through. We now have two very attacking players from a Chelsea side with the immediate double and a handy run of nice fixtures to end the season – including another Double Gameweek in 36 – so we view these as a nice investment.
To confirm then we have SOLD CONOR COADY & JAMES WARD-PROWSE and BOUGHT MARCOS ALONSO & MASON MOUNT
TRIPLE Captain – MASON MOUNT
With us now at Gameweek 34 and having three chips in hand, we are getting close to ‘use them or lose them’ territory.
When it was suggested by an anonymous member of our team (we won’t disclose his full name but we’ll asterisk out some of it – K*P) that we could have a go on one of the Chelsea boys as Triple Captain it didn’t seem that bad an idea at all and was quickly supported by another two members of committee and we therefore offer Mason Mount the Armband-x-3.
It’s West Ham at home then Manchester United away for our triple captain. On paper, it’s not shooting fish in a barrel by any means but Chelsea should feel confident on handling each of them fairly easily on their best form. Sure it’s a little risky but all Triple Captaincy choices are to an extent.
Mohamed Salah – on any other week a great captaincy choice – will wear the vice in case Mount falls down the stairs and misses the lot.

Predicted Line-ups and FPL Team News
Rather than clutter the site up on deadline eve with too many articles we have tagged our predicted line-ups on here.
As a quick reminder –
There are two versions of this article.
The one below has a drop-down version. It’s fairly idiot proof – you simply click on the small arrow to the right of the team name and you get a drop-down list of all the teams. Simply click on the one you want to see and hey presto, etc. This is the published article with the comments section to crack on with.
The other one is permanently live and has the ‘nicer’ grid layout. If you want to see that version you can click here. This can also be easily accessed at any time via a myriad of links on our homepage – Header link, Hot Topics link, Quick Access link on mobile and it is also linked towards the end of all of our regular articles.
What you see below is a live link to what Drafthound have on their website. Why is that significant? Well, firstly, it now means that the second they make any updates in reaction to live team news then they will also appear on here. Being uber helpful in that respect they also time-stamp all of their line-ups so you can tell to the minute when it was last updated.
As an additional extra if you click on any player icon on the team line-up that will take you to their own page on Drafthound, from where you can see up to date season stats, their upcoming fixture schedule and use a comparison tool to view similar players.
Given their time and effort in providing this content for us it would be rude not to occasionally click on the Drafthound link and check out their own fabulous content as there are FPL articles aplenty on there too.
You can access our live feed to these here.

Think I’ve narrowed it down to these two final WC drafts to BB on Gw36 and FH37. Which do you prefer ? A or B?
This is B
A
Probably A, because of Son, but I’d be tempted to downgrade Watkins to somone like Mateta and upgrade Royal to Laporte or Matip to Robertson.
I think I’d go A as well. Mostly as picking an 11 would be a bit easier.
Thanks guys, could also do do Watkins, Dennis, James, Royal and Matip to Nketiah, Joao Pedro, Alonso, Laporte and Robertson
Hi all
Already used transfer for bringing in Mount. All set or any changes to starting 11? Thanks!
You could actually make a case to play Ramsdale, Ramsey or Schar for Sá, Wort and Borja but each is a close toss up. Schar probably presents the best case.
Some tough benching decisions there, but I think I’d have it as you have…
Hi guys,
This is my team. I’ve made the great mistake of taking out Salah out last GW for Son. This cost me dearly, now I am trailing in my ML by 44 points. Now I used my FT to bring him back. Do you think I should go for more Chelsea assets, apart from Havertz or this is good to go?
Thanks!
I’d leave it be at that.
Evening folks. It’s been a while since I checked in. Hope you’re all well.
I’ve pressed the WC button and would appreciate any feedback. Only remaining chip after this is BB, which will go in GW36. I’ve left 0.9 ITB for Elanga to Smith-Rowe.
Thanks!
Elanga is a bit left-field, DGW or not.
Other than that the lack of any Spurs jumps out immediately. I’d probably take even just Kulu if the prices of the other two are too prohibitive. Although KdB could be sacrificed I reckon.
Cheers Init.
Downgrading KdB to Foden enables Maddison to Son. And Coleman to Matip. Not overly comfortable with ditching Maddison, but it does feel nice with Son in there! Can’t see a way of keeping him too.
That looks / feels better already. Leicester are done in the league, their focus is Europe now, so maybe that’s no bad thing.
Hi,
Sorry for re-post.
Can the powers that be in ff247 towers ask Elle to conduct Regulars League Cup Semi Final draw.
Thanks
Jamie
I can give him a nudge but I’m sure he’ll just do it when he’s good and ready in all honesty
On it as we speak. Thanks for the nudge boss/Jamie.
Hit the WC button this week. Taken a bit of a risk without Salah but need to make up some ground with a few punts. Have 14 for DGW36 and will FH 37. Any suggested changes?
Any last minute changes to this lot?
Looks good. Bit punty in places but as you say that’s what you are aiming for so that’s fine. Should be a full 15 assuming City get rearranged to 36.
Not too many games left to make up ground so time for a bit of luck
