Slowly slowly catchy monkey ….
Again above average for us, but again – like a spoiled child – not by much. 55 points last gameweek and a slight rise to 415,607 in the overall rankings. But we are ready to absolutely rock the forthcoming double gameweek season.
But, point of order, first we look at who did us proud this past week. Captain Erling Haaland didn’t do us many favours in the match at Forest – 4 points from a man fast becoming transferable*.

His strike partners Eddie Nketiah (2) and Harry Kane (5) didn’t fare much better so we obviously look elsewhere for the points.
In goal and defence, we had Luke Shaw (6) and that was it – 2s and 1s everywhere else so, …. *thinks* this must be some score coming from our midfield, huh?
*checks notes* Bukayo Saka (6), Bruno Ferenandes (12) and Marcus Rashford (15). Hot stuff!

With 2 free moves and the world and his wife in all probability taking at least one hit, we have no fear in taking one oursleves. Or “F*ck it … live a little” as our Site Team philosophers mused this evening.
We recognise that neither Crystal Palace and Wolves are Real Madrid so we lean towards Liverpool as the PL (and thus, FPL) are a separate kettle of fish from the Champions League.
We have a plan for Harry Kane – get him back after this ….. NO FURTHER QUESTIONS PLEASE!
The Everton swap in defence is to tidy up the Nathan Patterson problem – no better time than in a DGW to do that and try to grab some Tarks points.
To confirm then we have SOLD NATHAN PATTERSON, BRUNO FERNANDES & HARRY KANE and BOUGHT JAMES TARKOWSKI, MOHAMED SALAH AND DARWIN NUNEZ

It was between Saka and Salah and the vote was not unanimous. It was going either way all morning on the votes – even five minutes before publish we were waiting the last vote to confirm.

Nketiah or Darwin? If I get Darwin instead of Nketiah (also instead of Gapko), I can get an Arsenal defender/gk instead of triple Everton, tho Arsenal have been letting in goals lately. So [Darwin, Salah, Trent] + [Saka, Odegard, Zinchenko]. Or keep as is? What do you think?
I was thinking about Gakpo when I saw this and did think him out, Darwin in, possibly even for Kane.
Some rumors of Firmino coming in for Gakpo too??

Would you do martinelli to odegaard for a -4? Already doing kdb and kane to salah and Darwin.
I was having the same debate with Martinelli to Saka. Since you already have Saka I don’t see why not. My justification is Martinelli’s minutes have been limited lately and Odegarrd’s have not. In theory with the DGW you should offset the -4.
No point of side moves. Keep faith in Martinelli, he scored off the bench last time.

I was just thinking about chips as I realised I had all left plus 2nd WC and only 13 weeks left to use them. That’s effectively 3 and you presumably have 4. WC in 27 and then BB for the big DGW in 29 looks good. That’s limiting when you use TC. Depends on how you want to plan them but yeah it could be a consideration for Salah this week.
I was thinking FH 28/29, wildcard 33 and BB 34 which leaves TC in a rough spot with this week seeming the most viable

If you WC in 28, your team will be rubbish for that week. I think I might WC27, FH28, BB29
Sadly i wasted my bb and got 4 pts when on paper all bench players had easy games. Will either WC or free hit in 31.

my only concern is I wont have Kane or Haaland. But am sure I would survive.

Dgree with Gear WC in 28 not good idea
possible beast strategy could be to do bench boost in either:
Double Gameweek 29 – combination with wildcard GW27
Double Gameweek 34 – combination with wildcard GW33
But surely wc in gw28 means you have a better chance of knowing and having a fitter team for gw29 when you BB.
How do we know that gw34 will be a good dgw?
What do the masters of FF think – Init, Smash et al?
What will your strategies be for these gameweeks?
Many teams will blank in 28 and have double games in 29.
Hammer, if midweek (FA Cup) goes anything like we probably expect it will then there may not be a lot of GW28 left.
I updated our tracker last night which shows the state of play for that one but also worth noting from Ben Crellin that 34 could have some 14-16 teams involved in a DGW.

In your opinion, when would you WC, FH and BB, as a guide?
There are two real options, for WC and BB, which have already been detailed above, it’s just whether to dovetail them for 29 or 34. And then FH on the other, or use that to get through 28, but if there are hardly any games in 28 that may be one to simply ignore and pretend it isn’t happening!
I know I messaged on a previous page but really struggling with what to do! The issue I have is that shipping Shaw, Rashford and Trippier will mean I can’t get them back as I’ve built up team value! Would you FH this or wait for a later week? Still have WC and BB.
KdB to Salah, Felix to Darwin. Then decide on Shaw to Tarks for a hit. Depends on funds though.
