Bruno – Let’s be Frank
Like all brilliant players (overrated he may be by some!), you just have to stick with them and thankfully, we did! Captain Fernandes pushed aside a poor opening show in part one of the double gameweek in the 1-1 draw with Southampton, to score in the 97th minute on Tuesday to secure United’s 2-0 win against Brighton. His goal, the clean sheet and three bonus points (setting aside his yellow card), was the perfect response and meant that we were rewarded with 24 points for our DGW captain. Noice!
Overall the average was 47 points and the FF247 boys notched 81, cracked the top 100k and rest comfortably at 75,917. Double noice!
Cheers to Jarrod Bowen (13), to Cristiano Ronaldo (10), to Robert Sanchez, Diogo Dalot and Phil Foden (all 8) & Trent Alexander-Arnold (6).
Jeers to Ben Davies, Diogo Jota, Emmanuel Dennis & Jean Philippe Mateta – all registered a single point.

We have £0.2mln in the bank and 2 free transfers to use ahead of Gameweek 26.
We also have Bench Boost, Triple Captain, Free Hit and our second Wildcard to use.
Let’s go see what was decided.
Our Gameweek 26 Transfers
We approach the first big double gameweek of the season without Mohamed Salah so it was perhaps – subconciously or otherwise – always the plan to have two free transfers to bring in, with relative ease, the overwhelming favourite for the captain’s armband (more on that a little later).
With the spread of funds throughout our squad and a reluctance to sell Bruno after his latest performance, soemthing BIG had to give in order to get Mo in. We have to say goodbye to Phil Foden (not ideal) and Cristiano Ronaldo (not ideal either) but big calls are required. That’s ‘calls’, not ….
AND THEN…..
Diogo Jota got injured. So a stay of execution for Foden, which is no hardship, and it becomes Liverpool for Liverpool in midfield.
So with Salah in, we had £7.9mln to spend on a replacement for CR7. Our preference was a DGW striker, someone who had scored in his last game (form) and has a decent ongoing run of fixtures.
Raul Jimenez of Wolves ticks all three boxes.
To confirm then we have SOLD DIOGO JOTA & CRISTIANO RONALDO and BOUGHT MOHAMED SALAH & RAUL JIMENEZ

As mentioned, we were likely always going to be captaining Salah, but with all chips in our pocket and two plum home matches, now is the time to utilise the Triple Captain chip on the Egyptian Magician. Go well, our Mo!

Took a -8 to get this. Thinking BB GW28, so will WC next week. Makes dealing with GW27 easier to.
What would your WC team look like? I don’t overly fancy the teams doubling in 28…

I have 2 options:
1. Jota->Salah, and Tsimikas-> 3.8m defender (be nice if it was a dgw player)
or
2. Fernandes->Salah, Jota->Mane + Tsimikas->3.8m defender for 4ph
only downside i can see with option 2 is the hit and having 3 Pool players for the blank (but may FH that week).
Thoughts please.
You can just bench the pool players and Rams so no need to FH. Option 1 for me
Play Rudi over Norgaard?
I’d say so
Hammerfan, everyone will have 3 pool player and possibly one or two Arsenal ones after this DGW.
Quite a few, I am one of them, would have only 1 FH chip left and will keep it for the massive BGW30.
So, benching is the only solution and sort out everything with the WC in GW28, which seems to be the most popular idea.
Ivan, I still have 2xFH left, and with BenCrellin’s announcement that there are more doubles announced, maybe having 2 Pool is a good idea.
Fernandes could become Jota or Mane…lol
Well, I took -8 to bring in Salah and Firmino while kept Bruno who had a hatty in the reverse fixture.
On paper this is the best pool DGW, you will see most with three of them in different combination including Salah/TAA/Robertson/Mane/Firmino.
Ivan, thats why I was considering Mane for Bruno, go berserk with the Pool midfield for a 4ph.
As you say, if Bruno went berserk in the reverse, is a hit worth if if Pool have a double? I would have to bench 3 Pool players and 1 Gooner next week, that is the only problem.
Should I just stick with Salah and TAA as my 2 Pool players.
Hammer, it’s entirely up to you but one thing you shouldn’t worry is the bench in GW27 as 90% will have it full of blankers. Ideally to have both but Mane on a double looks more appealing.
Ivan, ok, Fernandes ditched in favour of Mane. Gone hell for leather. TC’d Salah. Should I TVC Mane?
Play Rudiger over Norgaard?
I went with TAA (VC) but it shouldn’t make much difference.
I would go with Rudiger.

The only 3.8 def is Amartey and no double for them although they have 3 games to b arranged, a hit might give you more flexibility?
I imagine Firmino is expected to play both games? I can afford him over Jimenez and liking the sound of triple Liv
That’s a decent shout. Does mean you’ll have another player with a blank next GW though
I could probably FH next week.
Really can’t decide what to do now with all the blanks and doubles coming along.
A) Ronnie & Jota > Son & Jimi
B) Watkins & Jota > Weghorst/Jimi & Saka
Getting Saka would just leave me a player down next week. Weghorst has the double double but plays for a team that have scored once in 3 games. Is option A best or something else?
Could also do Jota & Ronnie > Mane & 9.0 attacker
What are the chances of Edouard playing both games?
I would be tempted to flip Jota to Robertson. How much would that leave for a mid? May be Saka?
5.9 if the defender I get shot of was Coufal
Only thing is, he’s been involved in 7 goals all season…

I just think you might be disappointed and then he’ll be sitting there in your team for GW28
