Well, that went better than we could have hoped! The community was split in recent weeks; those that played their WC in GW26/GW27 and those who have held theirs. We played ours in 26 and the less said about that the better, but our best-laid plans came to fruition in spectacular fashion and it’s thanks in no small part to our 5-man double game week contingent.

At the culmination of the weekend’s fixtures, things looked decidedly ‘meh’, our single game week players were a mixed bag, 3pts a piece for Rashford and Saka, topped up nicely by 6pts from Haaland and Zinchenko along with a tidy 13pts from Kane. Whilst our double-game week players were something of a letdown. 3pts from Raya, 2pts for Mee, March and (captain) Toney, with only Mitoma (6pts) doing anything of note.

However, by the end of the game week, those players ended up looking like the smart play after all. Raya and Mee both finished with 9pts, Mitoma and March 12pts and 11pts respectively and our Captain Toney topped the lot with 13pts doubled to 26pts. Nice. We finished the game week with 103pts, a whopping 40pts above the average (63pts) and a solid green which lifted us from 431,164 to 296,898. We’ll take that thank you very much!

We have £2.9 in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of GW28. Let’s go see what was decided….

With 10 players for blank-game week 28, we took it to vote and decided that making a move and taking us to our full 11-man quota was the smart play.

Next came the issue of who to sell, again it went to a vote with 4 managers choosing Rashford as the fall guy, and 2 choosing Haaland. However, when we realised we would be buying Rashford straight back at a 0.4 loss we quickly changed our mind and it was Haaland who ultimately made way. Ollie Watkins comes in with an attractive fixture and the form to hopefully make us not quickly regret the transaction. With Toney walking the yellow card tightrope it could be reversed come GW29 or we may brave it out one more week, we’ll deal with that as and when!

We went to another poll to decide on our Armband, and it was a clean sweep for Harry Kane, with Saka taking the VC!

To confirm then we have SOLD Earling Haaland and BOUGHT Ollie Watkins
