FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW38

Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW38

We went into the penultimate game week of the season with just 5 double-game week players, and whilst we didn’t set the world on fire, we performed admirably. Our double Newcastle defence finally came up trumps with 9pts and 8pts respectively for Tripper and Botman, Salah pitched it with 5pts with the rest of our single-game week contingent (Saka, Jesus and Isak) managing just 4pts between them. Our doubles players largely performed like singles, 12pts for captain Haaland, 5pts off Mahrez, 7 for Mitoma. The star of the show was set to be Luke Shaw, 9pts in his first match but then he limped off in the second and finished up on 10pts. Bugger.

When all was said and done we ended on 63pts, 11 above the game week average, which saw a red arrow falling from 297,104 to 312,664. We need to finish above 252,733 to avoid our worst overall rank in our 9 seasons of playing. So that’s our goal as we enter the final week of the season, we’re not confident!

Our GW37 Result…

We have £0.7 in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of GW38. Let’s go see what was decided….

Our GW38 Transfer(s)

With Luke Shaw flagged we could have beefed up our defensive options but that feels a little too passive for GW38. Instead, we looked to our front 7 and found that other than Isak we were pretty happy with our lot. So it was quickly decided that Isak would make way. With our options limited we decided it came down to Callum Wilson (who we probably should have bought instead of Isak) and Ollie Watkins. Watkins hasn’t scored in a while, or as one of our members put it ‘he hasn’t scored since Wilson started scoring’. It went to a vote, and despite the latter observation, Watkins won 4 votes to 2.

We then put the captaincy to vote and it was a unanimous vote for Mo Salah, his fixture and certainly of starts winning over ‘parma-captain Haaland for one last hurrah! So that’s us, our final lineup for the season, what happens, happens and we’ll be ok however that turns out because we are just cool like that!! Good luck everyone and thanks for all your interaction across the site this year!

To confirm then we have SOLD Alexander Isak and BOUGHT Ollie Watkins

Captain – Salah

Predicted Line-ups and FPL Team News

Rather than clutter the site up on deadline eve with too many articles we have tagged our predicted line-ups on here.

As a quick reminder –

There are two versions of this article.

The one below has a drop-down version. It’s fairly idiot proof – you simply click on the small arrow to the right of the team name and you get a drop-down list of all the teams. Simply click on the one you want to see and hey presto, etc.

The other one is permanently live and has the ‘nicer’ grid layout. If you want to see that version you can click here. This can also be easily accessed at any time via a myriad of links on our homepage – Header link, Hot Topics link, Quick Access link on mobile and it is also linked towards the end of all of our regular articles.

You can access our live feed to these here.

“Once more into the fray, into the last good fight I’ll ever know. Live and die on this day, live and die on this day”

Or something similarly dramatic!! We go one last time and hope against hope we get a big green arrow… we need it!!

    Good luck everyone!!

Now, the end is near, we must face, the final…. gameweek…

    So…
    FTx1, ITB:2.9m

    Looking at a -8
Out: Isak, Fernandes and Shaw (flagged 50%)
In: Kane, Rice (hopefully not his final PL game for the Hammers), TAA

    Bad moves??

    Let me know

Kane can’t be bad news matie, it’s just Spurs though! They’re a tad unreliable aren’t they?

      • hammerfan_lm says:

well, yeah, there is that, but Leeds arent that good either mate..lol
        Kane always seems to score.
I am 20 behind 2nd place – he doesnt have Salah, but he has Kane, or Alvarez. I need Kane back I reckon
Top 3 is secured as 4th is like 51 points behind (or at least 43 if I went -8.They have Salah and TAA.)
Rice would be a go out with a bang, hope he stays transfer. Been good lately, and has scored. Can do it again I think

        • AJW says:

Go for it HammerFan! I like your reasoning, and Leeds are also a mess – it depends on who slips up the least as to how many goals are scored on either side! 😉

        • hammerfan_lm says:

          got nothing to lose really.
If I miss out on 2nd place, its to my mate anyway good
The big concern, for everyone who has him, is Haaland, and his minutes – hence why captaining him, or Vice is a no no.

        • Reg83 says:

I would have liked to have kane but need hits. On the final day, not willing to take hits.
Traditionally Kane scores a lot in final game but Spurs do look poor this season.

    1 FT and 0.1 ITB
What would you do with that?
And, do I play Eduard, who scored last week?

1FT & £400k ITB, not sure what to do, Kdb to Salah?
