FF247 Woofbet Tournament Gameweek 29 – Fantasy Premier League Betting
Panic over. We understand last week must have been a tough time for you speculating the disappearance of your favourite fantasy football betting article. But despite missing last weeks deadline as suspiciously as Rio Ferdinand misses drugs tests, we’re back with another Tournament Spotlight!
Last week we saw our first double Gameweek of the season and subsequently our first set of triple figure total scores on Woofbet.com. Despite leaving managers biting their fingernails all week, Harry the Hurrikane eventually delivered with a brace against QPR after somehow failing to pick up a goal or assist in Spurs’ 3-2 win against visiting Swans. Elsewhere, Mr Aguero taught a valuable lesson to those managers who took an educated gamble on him, showing that even the best players can somehow blank at home to Leicester.
Meanwhile, Southampton managed to find the back of the net after what seemed like forever – how they put 8 past Sunderland in 1 game earlier this year is anyone’s guess. Aston Villa pulled out 2 back-to-back West Midland derby wins against West Brom, ending their terrible goal scoring record and the Baggies excellent clean sheet record… work that one out. The phrase ‘lightning never strikes twice’ was proven incorrect as Jordan Henderson delivered his second lightning strike in succession, earning himself a place on the score sheet next to Daniel Sturridge who’s settled in well having recently recovered from injury.
Gameweek 29 kicks off tomorrow and Woofbet has thousands up for grabs across multiple tournaments. This Gameweek there’s €350 in free entry prizes and a solid €900 in guaranteed pots. You also have the option to create your own tournaments and head-to-head challenges. Choose your own rules and buy-in fees then invite your friends or leave it open for the public to challenge you!!
FF247 Exclusive – €50 FREEROLL
A bit of nostalgia here for those of you who remember us emerging on to the scene late last year. We’re back with another €50 freeroll that’s exclusive to Fantasy Football 247 users. To enter you’ll have to enter a mega top-secret password that you must swear not to tell anybody else. We wanted to make sure that it wasn’t easily guessable to the general public, so decided to set it as: FF247. Hiding in plain sight, more obvious is less obvious…
Please note that the password is case sensitive. ff247 will refuse you entry, whereas FF247 will welcome you with warm, open arms!
The tournament doesn’t cost a penny to enter and has €50 ready to be split between the top 10%. Each week, we’ll return here to re-cap the tournament, crown our winner and welcome them into the FF247 Exclusive Tournament Hall Of Fame.
It’s not going to be an easy one though as the entire FF247 team will be taking part. Although we didn’t see any questionable decisions in his Gameweek Tips article this week, you should keep a close eye on Kop Warrior as he’s bound to start subtly hinting that you consider unlikely candidates such as Adam Johnson or players even less likely to score points like Southampton striker Graziano Pelle.
Inittowinit quietly cashed in a juicy €9.81 a few weeks back for his 6th place finish in the weekly freeroll. Maybe he kept this success under wraps so that he could sneak his way to the top this weekend without any added pressure. We’ve also heard that he’s since invested his €9.81 in to Potty’s black market of fantasy football tips… but you can’t believe everything you read on the internet.
The weekend’s biggest threat undoubtedly lays within the mind of the managerial legend that is Cookie Van Cook. Last weekend he trebled up on Hull defenders in a move that seemed genius up until the 77th minute when Jack Rodwell nodded one past an outstretched Allan McGregor. Earlier this week the mastermind took to Twitter to defend his tactics by announcing his decision to treble up at the back once again. This weekend his faith questionably lies within the Black Cats defence… If that’s not a good enough reason to select Christian Benteke then we don’t know what is!
Elsewhere, the rest of the FF247 team has been suspiciously quiet. We can only assume that the likes of Mito, Gallant Pioneer & LawDogg have been sitting quietly outside of the competitor spotlight, carefully revising their winning formulas.
To open the tournament page in a new tab click here (upon logging in/signing up you’ll be directed to the team selection page). See you back here next week when we’ll be crowning our first ever FF247 Exclusive tournament champion!!
Meanwhile over on Woofbet.com there’s a wide variety of tournaments ready for you to test your luck in. As we’ve highlighted them time and time again in the past we’ve decided to keep this last part short and sweet.
Regular Full Round – €150 Guarantee
At the cost of just €3 to enter and with a prizepool guaranteed to be at least €150, the regular full round tournament looks like the best place to build on your existing balance. The tournament operates under regular rules (15 players, 3 per team, 100m balance) and runs for the duration of the entire Gameweek. If you’re confident that you can pick a team of winners this weekend, then you’d be crazy not to back them at such a small cost.
Double or Nothing Full Round
The most generous competition on Woofbet returns! On paper a €20 entrance fee looks steep, but when you consider the potential for returns it immediately becomes one of the most appealing tournaments out there! The rules are as simple as the name suggests and all that’s required is that you finish in the top half to get your money doubled. If you fancy yourself putting in an above average performance this weekend, then you might as well double your money in the process.
Hi Jamie,
I have tried to do a custom tournament on woofbet based on the 1 player per team format but I cannot find the correct options. Can you help on this please?
Cheers Matt
Also are you bringing back the regular 10 + 1 tourney with the 400 guarantee? I thought the numbers were building up well in that 1?
Hi mate, sorry for the late reply. I’ll pass on your message about the 10 + 1 and hopefully look to bring it back. I agree, the numbers were building nicely!
I just created a 1 Player Per Team tournament for GW30, so it’s definitely possible to do using the ‘create your own tournament’ feature. Let me know more specifically what you need help with and I’ll happilly assist!
Jamie.
