Finalised Fantasy Football 247 FPL Team – GW3
We pre-released our team on Wednesday evening, suggesting that we were just going to make one change. However, as you know, rumours of a hamstring injury to Chelsea striker Diego Costa were beginning to surface, hence we needed to wait for today’s press conferences to clarify the situation with him and indeed everyone in our squad after a busy week of Champions League, Capital One Cup and Europa League action. Jose Mourinho confirmed that Costa is “a big doubt” for the game vs Everton and hence we have decided to sell him, despite the injury not believed to be as serious as first thought. We could have benched him, but we have decided instead to buy Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge. This is a move not just for GW3 but for the medium term as Liverpool have a great run of fixtures coming up and we had no cover from them. For a team that has become free scoring, we felt cover in this area would be essential sooner rather than later and Costa’s injury presented us with the excuse to invest in Liverpool.
To supplement Sturridge we needed to raise 1mln and so we had to use our 2nd free transfer and we have sold Joel Ward and bought Newcastle’s Paul Dummett. We explained our preference for the Newcastle defence on Wednesday and although we would have preferred Daryl Janmaat, price dictated that Dummett was our only option.
Stevan Jovetic remains our captain for this week, with Gylfi Sigurdsson the vice captain.

TheDreamers
Rooney for me but rumours about that he will play deep.
itscarrickyouknow
What do people make of this as a wildcard team , got. 2.4 mil in the bank
Krul
Debuchy Taylor(Swans) Dummet
Siggy Fabregas Ramsey Di Maria Lamela
Jovetic Ballotelli
Subs : Mannone Robertson Naismith Clyne
Help would be greatly appreciated
duthers
Your attack is very riskey, jovetic may be playing at current, but once aguero is back for I imagine he will only be coming off the bench. Now that Eto’o has come in I also would watch naismith’s Gametime
hammers
Balo and di Maria are huge risks considering neither may start

Morning all
Can’t decide between Hutton & dummet
Left Hutton on the bench last 2 weeks and lost out. Don’t want to get caught out a 3 rd time!
duthers
Dummet personally, but I may be being bias as I want pelle to score for saints 😉
hammers
Cheers duthers but not sure what pelle has to do with it though. Pelle playing west ham not villa
Short Skirt
What do you think? Feedback please
Kop Warrior
Short Skirt – I’d be tempted to play Duff ahead of Pieters this week.
inittowinit
Short I agree with Kop although I’d play Wisdom rather than Duff. Basically anyone but Pieters at City!
Are you happy to play Costa knowing his replacement is basically Bojan away at City if indeed he doesn’t make it?
Short Skirt
Won’t Siggy clash with Wisdom?
And I honestly am not. I was thinking of keeping him on the bench because I already spent my free transfer on Dier. Should I sell him (he’s at 5.4) and buy Naismith?
duthers
Costa injury isn’t great, but defence needs more attention. I’m thinking Luis to Clyne or janmatt only problem with janmatt is I was thinking I want rid of Baird for a 4 mil playing defender, and I like the look of dummet but don’t want to double up on Newcastle. Any thoughts?
FF247
Hi duthers, Clyne has a good run of fixtures still to come so should serve you well for a good few weeks. No point doubling on Newcastle in that case.

Cheers. In the case of a defender, is taking one in for a hit a bad idea? Even if he keeps a clean sheet you would be only be getting 2 points (unless he assists/ scores)
Kop Warrior
Hey Duthers,
I’d agree with FF247, they know what they’re talking about 😉
Get Clyne in for Luis this week and next week get Dummett for Baird.

Haha, just gonna have to hope chambers plays then ( I don’t imagine pieters will be doing any clean sheet buisness this week)
