Four Stars Whose Fantasy Stock Could Sore DuringTransfer Window

Four Stars Whose Fantasy Stock Could Sore DuringTransfer Window

There is no shortage of fantasy football stars worldwide, but each transfer window brings us a new batch. Many are young players coming up with smaller clubs who are finally earning their way up to the big stage. Some will find themselves relegated to a smaller role, but a select few will be cast into important roles for their new clubs.

Fantasy football managers are a unique breed among gamblers. Unlike those betting on an online casino or sportsbook, fantasy football requires far more work. That work includes scouting young and new talent from around the globe to help gain an edge over the competition.

If you find yourself looking for help as we prepare for transfers to begin, we have you covered! Below, we’ll share four players we believe will become fantasy stars if they are moved.

  1. Viktor Gyökeres – Forward – Sporting CP

This season, the 26-year-old Swedish star has 18 goals in 16 starts for Sporting CP. That puts him on pace to smash his total from last season (29), showing how well the forward has been playing.

We love Gyökeres to have a significant impact for whichever club he lands with. That would be especially true if he ends up with Manchester United. The Red Devils have been linked to the forward after former Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim took over the top job. The club needs scoring, meaning Gyökeres could have a chance to take on a lead offensive role.

One area of concern for the Swedish forward is his passing. After posting 11 assists across 32 games last year, he has just two through 16 this season.

  1. Abdukodir Khusanov – Centre Back – Lens

If you are looking for defensive help, Abdukodir Khusanov could be a fantastic option. The Uzbekistan star is just 20 but is making a name for himself with Ligue 1 club Lens. His time there has shown his talent and given him experience in a top-level European league as well as international tournaments.

Many top clubs have contacted Lens about the 20-year-old, but Manchester City is expected to be the chief suitor.

Khusanov’s experience in France’s top league makes him a safer fantasy football option than the other two players on this list. He should see plenty of time on the pitch, giving him reliable value.

  1. Geovany Quenda – Midfielder – Sporting CP

Let’s start by saying that Quenda is only 17 years old. His scoring is still coming along at Sporting CP, but scouts believe he can be an elite scorer as he develops. The midfielder’s defense is coming around, meaning he is an incredibly balanced player for his age.

Of the four players on our list, Quenda is the biggest gamble. His value will depend largely on where the young footballer ends up. It would be low if the midfielder were added to European power, but he could earn much playing time with other clubs. Manchester United has been linked to the young star and would be an ideal destination, given their desperation for offensive help.

  1. Victor Osimhen – Forward – Galatasaray (Napoli)

We have saved the best for last. Victor Osimhen has been incredible for Galatasaray while on loan from Napoli. The 26-year-old has taken advantage of his time in Turkey, posting nine goals and three assists through nine matches this season.

Osimehn is in his prime and seems ready to splash in one of Europe’s top leagues. The forward is also earning time with Nigeria’s national team, where he has been one of the team’s top stars. Osimhen’s age makes him the safest bet on this list for fantasy football managers.

Juventus has emerged as the top suitor for Osimhen, though Chelsea and Manchester United have also shown interest. Juventus and Chelsea would further boost his fantasy production, but Manchester United could present a problem. The club has been struggling badly and may not have the talent to support Osimhen this season.
