FPL Pre-season Hub and Early Chat – 2024/25

Welcome to FPL Pre-season Hub and Early Chat – 2024/25

Are we actually physically and mentally ready to go again?

OF COURSE WE ARE!

Most Premier League clubs are now up and running in their preparations for the 2024/25 Premier League season and – now that the game has launched – so are us FPL managers!

Let’s see what all 20 teams have up their sleeves in terms of pre-season preparations for the forthcoming campaign.

As the norm, we have listed below a run-down of the fixtures arranged for each club.

As in previous seasons, each team will have a comment attached to this article where match information will be posted to act as a living record of how their pre-season is progressing. This will contain score, scoring, assist and team line-up information and indeed, any other salient information deemed FPL-appropriate to assist us ahead of the new season.

Any questions or comments welcome.

Also a good place for new FPL chat and it will get us off the Euro 2024 and all that unpleasantness (!)

A standard, consequential preseason question. One premium, two premiums (Haaland, Salah?), or none?
And thanks, GP, for the preseason results.

      Gavy says:

What price to you but at premiums?

      9m+ or 10m+?

      If 9m+ I have 4.

      If 10m+ I have 2.

As of now, I am trying a haaland free team.

Want to try roll the 1st 3 / 4 FTs. Think this will be huge in later weeks jumping between Palmer / Saka and won’t feel as much of a waste.

      • Gavy says:

Have 1 premium defender too. 6m+

        • KI says:

All nice. I’d like to avoid Haaland with Foden, Gvardiol. I’m initially inclined to Salah for ‘Pool coverage, as much as anything. But this squeezes Palmer out. With no Salah, I can add Palmer an Son.. No Haaland and Salah looks risky, but a lot of fun.

Hey guys. How are you all.
So we are back. And it seems easier play-wise and difficult choice-wise.
Looking forward to a better season than the last. Cheers all

I promised myself to stay away from fantasy football until a couple of days before GW 1, but had a spare 20 minutes for a quick draft.

Looks to weak, especially the midfield. I don’t think you can have a well balanced team with both Salah and Haaland.

      • Plenty of time for the final decision but I would rather start with two expensive players who will be easy to replace if they don’t do well. On the other hand, if you start with average ones and then want to get the others, most likely you will be forced to play an early WC.

        • Ludinator15 says:

Palmer, Saka, Foden, Son, KDB etc…. Aren’t average ones tho.

        • Gavy says:

I think with the 5 banked ft and not lossing them with a WC using it early isn’t as bad.

Also with smaller dgws ahead with could see more interesting use of chips.

          Haaland tc gw2 anyone?

        • That is true Gavy. If we are lucky to save 5 FT would be great for GW 6 to refresh 1/3 of the team according to the fixtures swings. Doubt it will be very easy to have 5 by that stage though.

Similar to mine. Is Zinchenko a regular?
Many have Turner in their team and apparently he is third choice, so will likely drop in price soon.

I know FPL codes are currently doing the rounds, but is anyone setting up an FPL Challenge league?

Morning strangers. Hope you’re all having a lovely summer and are raring to go for the new FPL season. It certainly feels a little less template with the pricing and various options.

I’m close to settling on something like this. My remaining key questions/consideration are:

    1) Do I go with Jota and 0.5 ITB or Sboz and 1.5 ITB
    2) Wood or Muniz
    3) Who’s the best 4.5 GK. Chelsea feels risky.
    4) The 4.5 defender slot may switch to include Livra
    5) I’m really tempted by Son over Saka

Any thoughts on these, the team it’s a whole, or just the upcoming season in general are warmly welcomed.

Bit off-topic – rather from last season!
Today, I received the pen with FF247 logo…… pleasantly surprised. I thought it will be a T-Shirt (one I already have from couple of seasons back). So the pen is a nice add to the collection.
Thank you all the site managers for arranging everything related to FPL in this site. Excited to start the new season – time to start building the team and go again with the game we love. Good luck all and hope to enjoy many more years here with you all! hi
