Welcome to FPL Captain Picks GW6.

FOMO – Fear Of Missing Out!!!

With his ten goals in the opening five game weeks of the season, I know that we will all be captaining the Norwegian Robot. With over 70% ownership if he hauls then we are all quids in, good moods all around and off to a nice start to the game week. If he blanks then we are mostly in with the masses, so no great damage done to our mini league / overall rankings.

But for those managers who do not have him (I am looking at you Guy, Rich & Swirly) or those managers who hate their game week ruined by a Saturday lunchtime captain fail then who else should you consider captaining?

Nicholas Jackson v Brighton (H)

I present for your consideration Chelsea’s Nicholas Jackson (£7.7m). Jackson seems to have cemented the centre forward position having started all five league games. He has completed only one 90 minutes and been substituted in the other four leagues games but thankfully after 60 minutes.

Jackson has scored four goals (joint third in the game) this season with two assists and five bonus points over three games. His 35 total points is joint sixth (with Saka) in the game and second in the game for all forwards.

Still flying slightly under the radar, Jackson only has 11.8% ownership so a nice differential to your team if you decide to transfer him into your squad.

At the time of writing, 500,804 managers have transferred him into their squad with 40,017 managers deciding to now go without, for some odd reason.

For any managers considering transferring him into their squad then a word of advice, FPL Statistics has at the time of writing Jackson at 77.2% with a further 51,077 net transfers required for a second £0.1m price increase for the game week.

Bukayo Saka v Leicester City (H)

I present for your consideration Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka (£10.0m). With 30.7% ownership, Saka has started all five league games this season but was substituted after 45 mins at the Etihad hopefully because of tactics rather than any injury.

With Arsenal looking like scoring every time they take a corner then he has turned into an assist machine with five assists (most in the game) this season; one assist per game. Saka has scored just one goal this season but has earned four bonus points over three games.

Arsenal have had a difficult start to the season with away games at Aston Villa, Tottenham, and Manchester City. Despite that his 35 total points is joint sixth in the game (with Jackson) and fourth in the game for all midfielders.

At the time of writing, 290,613 managers have transferred him into their squad with 71,385 managers deciding to now go without.

For any managers considering transferring Saka into their squad then a word of advice, FPL Statistics has him, at the time of writing, at 92.9% with a further 7,920 net transfers required for a £0.1m price increase for the game week.

Like Chelsea, Arsenal also has excellent home fixtures against newly promoted Leicester City and Southampton over the next two game weeks up to the next international break.

Ollie Watkins v Ipswich Town (A)

For a second consecutive game week as recommended captain potential, I present for your consideration Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins (£9.0m). With 28.8% ownership, Watkins has had a difficult start to the season after his Euros involvement. Watkins has started all five league games this season and like Jackson has only completed only one 90 minutes and substituted in the other four leagues games but thankfully after 60 minutes. A certain Columbian wonderkid with four goals in the last thirty minutes in the games when Watkins has been substituted may be focusing Watkins back into some kind of form.
Watkins has scored three goals (in the last two league games) this season with one assist and three bonus points over one game. Watkins 28 total points is joint fifth for all forwards in the game.

At the time of writing, 133,234 managers have transferred Watkins into their squad with a surprising 112,214 managers deciding to now go without.

For any managers considering transferring Watkins into their squad then a word of advice, FPL Statistics has at the time of writing Watkins at 46.3% with a further 60,214 nett transfers required for a £0.1m price increase for the game week.

Aston Villa has a home fixture against newly promoted Ipswich Town and then an away fixture at Manchester United over the next two game weeks up to the next international break.

As for me, my FOMO is too much to not captain Haaland.

Good luck for the game week.

    Any suggestions?
Jota and Digne the two issues in my team. Dont think Solanke to Havertz or Salah to Saka is worth the trade.
Might be best to roll transfer then downgrade Jota and upgrade Digne to Gabriel?

Hi guys – hit the WC this week – grateful for opinions… 1 or 2

Diaz + 4.9 def vs. ESR + Porro

Former makes sense as gives me lpool coverage, and means I can move Semenyo -> ESR in a couple GWs… but it does leave my defence light.

Other than that, I think I’m locked
