Welcome to FPL is live 2020/21

It’s time to set your team up, re-join leagues and get tinkering! Although it’s worth noting that the actual Premier League fixtures are still to be released and likely won’t be until after the Champions League and Europa League have completed.

For FPL the biggest change appears to be the deadline changing to 90mins before kick-off – seemingly in an attempt to combat those annoying and often false team leaks.

The Chips have remained the same as has the budget of 100mln.

The biggest changes seem to have come in player prices and in some cases, classification. Some of the more obvious changes at first glance are:

Players now classed as midfielders:
Aubameyang (Arsenal) – price 12.0mln
Greenwood (Man Utd) – price 7.5mln
Rashford (Man Utd) – price 9.5mln
Lundstram (Sheff Utd) – price 5.5mln

Players now classed as forwards:
Richarlison (Everton) – price 8.0mln
Martial (Man Utd) – price 9.0mln
Antonio (West Ham) – price 6.5mln

New players:
Midfielders:
Ziyech (Chelsea) – price 8.0mln
Forwards:
Werner (Chelsea) – price 9.5mln

  1. Evening all, I hope like me you’ve all had a nice (short) break! As soon as those fixtures are released I’ll be bringing my break to a close and jumping on here to start bouncing ideas with you all and try to ensure we all have an awesome start to the season!!

  2. I have to admit, it ain’t that bad for auto fill team. Usually it is some strange crap selection smile

  3. Antonio or Mitro? Just checking in general what you guys think?

    • I’ve got both for now smile I expect another 1,739 tinkers before kick off though.

    • Think it depends on fixtures. I don’t love either so for that reason I have the cheaper Mtro. There’s not many strikers I like in truth. Wish I could just select midfielders there’s loads I want there

    • I plonked Antonio in but if WHU have dreadful fixtures I may move him on.

      Truth be told I know very little about Fulham and WHU and which of the two of them will get more chances, etc.

      Other than the obvious players – Salah, KdB, TAA – most positions in my side are up for grabs.

      • Antonio is a good shout, although our tough fixtures are a problem. I will probably have him, a decent striker and a 3rd bench fodder I think – thoughts?

          I was meant to be on holiday as well but the government kept adding beach destinations to their quarantine list, so after I changed 3 flights in 2 weeks, lost hundreds of pounds, time and nerves in the process, I called it a day and gave up. I guess I am gonna spend my bd here in the UK, with beer(s) in my hand, hoping for some sunshine and better times.
          Anyway, we’ll sort it out next week :good:
