Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Double Gameweek 28

It’s a HUGE DGW! Bournemouth and Luton play twice… Oh. Hang on. Is that it? Yes, that’s it.

But hey, get excited we all will, and chase those double points we will. A bit. Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe in a token gesture type of way, we shall wave the odd player at it and hope for the best.

Either way, there are also 18 others in action too. Cherish that though, in comparison to next week this is a veritable feast, akin to a month long World Cup.

Man Utd and Everton get us under way at 12.30pm on Saturday.

This followed by three 3pm’ers with our new DGW heroes Bournemouth and Luton playing Sheffield Utd and Palace respectively. Exciting, eh? Wolves and Fulham is the other.

Arsenal can march to the top at 5.30pm, as they welcome Brentford.

After a few sparse Sunday’s this one is relatively full with Villa and Spurs at 1pm, Brighton v Forest and West Ham v Burnlet at 2pm before the biggie at (oddly) 3.35 pm between Liverpool and Man City.

We continue on Monday with a mid-table clash between two of the league’s richest clubs as Chelsea host Newcastle.

And then on Wednesday it’s the one we have all been waiting for all season, as Bournemouth welcome Luton to complete the DGW to end all DGW’s.

We tried our best.

The games in full…

Everyone on my team including my bench got 0 or 2 points.
The only exception is Ben White of all people with 11 points. laugh

Not regretting replacing Haaland with Morris even if the latter has done f all so far.

what a week! Sonny saving my butt so far… … but the guy who is chasing me has White and Ait-Nouri and having a laugh at the rest of the league… thankfully a cushion.. and how is 33 points a green arrow??? could be one of the worst ever??

45 with Palmer and Solanke, Murphy still to play. I’ll take that. Garnacho and Porro OTB hurt but.

Beginning to think about the upcoming BGW. Wondering if I should FH or save it. I have 5 (if Emerson is fit) playing as it is. Could the FH be better used later and I’ll take the punches as they come this week knowing I’m probably not alone with fielding a partial squad. I mean the matches are super boring anyway.

    A. Turner to Areola and Anderson>Playing defender (-4) and field 7
    B. FH and field 11

Hi have similar situation. I am not FHing. My logic is that you already have 3-4 players main players like Son, Watkins, Doughty that we’d want in our FH teams. Taking a -4 or even -8 hit is fine (considering worst net zero sum theory) for 2-3 more players like Toney, Morris. FH is better to be used sometimes in one of the probable 2 DGWs in future.

      • Colriles says:

That’s where I’m at currently as well. Planning a -4 to field just 6. Hope Sonny, Olli and DLuiz do the business and cross fingers. Given the fixtures there must be a better use of it down the home stretch.

        • constantine says:

Yes Colriles. 6-7 playing are fine I reckon. Won’t want to carry on with half of these players in the coming games. Would need Salah and Haaland back soon

      • ODT says:

Then maybe I do these transfers for -8. Something to ponder.

        Andersen>Pedro Porro
        Solanke>Toney
        Garnacho>DL

All but Toney I would not mind keeping anyway.

Also, I won’t take a hit for a keeper, let alone Areola. Haaland + Solanke to Toney + Morris for me.

I think you want to aim for 20-25 extra pts from a FH. You can have 6 without hits, so it’s whether the 5 additional would bring 20+pts (average 4pts each).
