Welcome back! We go again, etc.

As per last season Arsenal get us under way with the Friday night game. With so many Jesus owners let’s just hope they make a better fist of this one than they did the Brentford game last season. Vieira’s tenacious Palace are the hosts, what could possibly go wrong here…

Onto Saturday and we have 6 games beginning with newly promoted Fulham welcoming Salah and co. in the early game. What could possibly go wrong here…

We then have Jeff back in the studio at 3pm for 4 games as Bournemouth host Villa, Wolves go to Leeds, The Saudis welcome Robin Hood (what could possibly go wrong there…) and Saints go to Spurs.

The late game is the Frank Lampard Derby.

We then have 3 games on Sunday with a pair at 2pm as Leicester entertain Brentford and Brighton go to Old Trafford to see if anything really has changed up North.

West Ham and Man City see us out at 4.30pm.

  3. Lads, Jesus out Mitrovic in. Thoughts? I have the Arsenal cover but Jesus could easily bang next game. Mitrovic in hot form atm though

    • I don’t think so. Jesus has some tasty fixtures even though u have triple arsenal attack. Mitrovic faces ars, tot and che in 4, 6 and 7 gws

    • Did Mitrovic play well? his second goal was very lucky, not sure it was a penalty.

      • He had the beating of VVD and you can’t say that about many. He looked really sharp and Fulham played him in quite a few times. He’ll do we’ll if they play like that every week

    • Jesus is a hold IMO….Mitro is sharp but Jesus has the fixtures. You can wait 1 or 2 more GWs I think.

  4. Firmino started ahead of Darwin

    Will Liverpool play one or the other, or is there room for both?

    If they will play one or the other, why did Firmino start instead of Darwin? was it just a fitness thing?

    Darwin looked good when he came on, made salah play better i thought as well. Will that get him the starting place going forward?

    • It looked on another level. I can’t see him staying out the starting 11 for long.

    • I think Darwin plays next game but Firmino may start vs Manu away.
      No idea what will happen once Jota is fit. But Darwin looks sharp, think he ll start most games.

        I’m happy to play Kane, Haaland & Jesus up from for a few more weeks before changing it too much

  5. I think there might be a few hits flying about this next round, Kane down 0.1 and Haaland up 0.1

    • thank god I did it before the price rise. Kane to Haaland done. This would have been loss of 0.2 and a -4 if I hadn’t done it

    • Mitrovic, Zinchenko go up too. Price changes are more aggressive compared to last season I think, I could be wrong

    • Thats why i did the transfer after the final whistle yday.

  6. With price changes already happening I’m worrying about how to get Darwin (and James) with compromising too much. The obvious path seems to be…

    Plange > Darwin
    Saka > Martinelli
    Robertson > James
    Ramsdale > Iverson

    Problem is I can do this today but one price change and I’m screwed. Seems crazy, but is it worth a mega (-12) hit? Or even a wildcard?!

    • Not at all worth a – 12. U r sacrificing 3 good players just to get darwin.

      • Yea the hit does seem excessive. I just worry it’ll be even harder with a couple of price changes. I don’t want to lose Salah, Haaland or Jesus. Saka to Martinelli doesn’t feel a huge downgrade. And I really want James (and I’d need to move on a pool player anyway). With price changes I’d be left having to consider losing other key assets that I really don’t want to let go!

      • Agreed. I wouldn’t be considering that at all this early in the season. See how teams and players settle in then make the call
