Saturday afternoons will never be the same without Jeff, but we shall plough on regardless. The selfish b@stard will no doubt be sunning himself in some far flung destination with a cocktail in his hand. If this was North Korea he’d have died in that chair. Maybe they do get some things right, after all..
And so, with potential death threat no.1 of the season out of the way, down to the action…
We begin on Friday with Man City going to Burnley at 8pm. Get used to Friday’s as it looks like it is a thing again, at least for the opening month.
Saturday begins with Arsenal already chasing, most likely, as they host Forest in the early game.
Simon (Thomas) is our new Jeff at 3pm, he’s a nice bloke, and he gets under way with 4 games – Bournemouth v West Ham, Luton at Brighton, Everton welcoming Fulham and Palace going to The Blades. Clearly they don’t want him to get too overexcited on day 1… The late one should be a good game though as Newcastle host Villa.
That leaves us with 2 on Sunday – Brentford v Spurs at 2pm and Chelsea v Liverpool at 4.30pm. And then the final one is on Monday as Man United welcome Wolves at 8pm.

Looks like Stones dropping tonight and perhaps Gabriel before Friday too. What are everyone’s thoughts on an early transfer of one to James? Unfortunately I have both. Usually I like to hold until GW 3 and do a mini WC.

Would have love Chilwell or James. Have stones to but od hate to do a -4 already.

What are we doing with Foden guys?
Hello there Constantine, I hope you are well. By all accounts you did pretty well (judging by your previous comments, but your current account is not linked to your profile, so could not spy on you!) – as for Foden, it might be a good idea to wait till after this mid-week fixture; but he could get good minutes now that KDB is injured again. I’d be inclined to hold for a few weeks, if I were you.

Hey AJW. How are you going? I am fine here. Took a long sabbatical from FPL. But, couldn’t wait for the new season. I thought I had lost / deviated my interest from FPL since COVID. But, the spark is back

*1. Definitely hold. Lots of talk re him getting more mins to replace KDB.
Gday people. Like everyone, I went alright, but have Mings. I’ll only replace him if his price looks like going south. Have 1m ITB, so he could easily become someone else (eg. R James, AWB, Shaw etc etc), rather than getting in a 2nd Pool player (Diaz for Eze).
Really, all moves seem superfluous, so maybe sit on my hands?

Hey AJW, if you have the FT I’d sort out Mings 1st. He could well drop and a player you want (James at top pick) could well go up now that Chilwell has already. If you find yourself. 2 short it would be very annoying.
Okay Gavy. Thank you for the advice. Have been thinking about James, although it limits my flexibility for other positions. But, I have got a variety of price points covered!
Watched the game and to be honest James scaredme – – E’en tho I have Chilly as well

Well I look like finishing in the tp 1k ( out of 144,000) in Nrl supercoach.
Good start for me of 83 with Kane in team.
Not played NRL but currently 903rd in AFL SuperCoach
Both James and Chilwell picked up knocks. Make sure they’re both fit for next game before bringing them in.
Finished on 91 points all thanks to @Banjo for his advice to get rid of a couple of players (Darwin & Trossard), replaced with Pedro & Rashford.
Great start Wales! I should I’ve come to you for advice. A disappointing 65 for me. Captaining Rashford was a masterstroke

Anyone knowledgeable Brighton folk here? Who’s this Van Hecke bloke? Is he THE 4.0 defender to own this season? Or did he just get 90 mins cos of injuries or something? Didn’t hear anyone mention him during pre season so I’m guessing the latter.
Think he played bcoz of webster injury. I doubt he is 1st choice.
He’s now their 1st choice back up. He’s an excellent player – I saw him live for the Academy team last season vs Man Utd and he stood out a mile, a heck of a prospect. Which means that he will be featuring in a Chelsea back line coming soon.
He’s probably the long term successor to Dunk if they can hang on to him.
Liverpool have agreed a fee with Brighton for him. However, he doesn’t want to join!!!
