FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 10

Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 10

We begin on Friday evening this week as top of the table Spurs go to Palace at 8pm.

Just the four games on Saturday with Chelsea welcoming Brentford at 12.30pm, at the front end, and Newcastle visiting Wolves at 5.30pm, at the back end. Sandwiched in-between are just the two 3pm games with Arsenal at home to Sheffield United and Burnley making the trip to Bournemouth.

That leaves Sunday quite bulky, and bunched too, with West Ham vs Everton at 1pm, overlapping with three at 2pm as Luton go to Villa, Brighton entertain Fulham and Liverpool thrash Forest.

Super Sunday is at 3.30pm, strangely, and it’s the Manchester derby, no less.

    • And now that goal cost me 6 points and got son 3 more dash

        • Well, I chickened out and moved the armband from D Luiz to Salah two minutes before the deadline.
          The trouble is that he is known to f it up when everyone expect him to do great.

        • I c Watkins this week. Have son, no salah.. i too considered son to salah for a hit but luckily i didn’t. Spurs are slowly looking like a champion team. I might sell Maddison soon but think i ll keep sonny boy.

      • Unlucky Gavy, nothing worse than a injury time goal going against you.

        As a Son owner with no spurs defenders then I benefited from the Palace goal.

    Looking forward to going Sonless for a few weeks till I get him back in! Down 4pts already! The game’s afoot!

    • Technically you’re down 14 but we’ll not split hairs over friends acute laugh

      • Nah – the 4 pts refers to the fact that there’s that amount of difference between the Spurs player I dropped for Salah (Son) and the one I kept out of hope (Maddison). Not a -4, but a stupid WC move (bloody did it on my telephone the other night before bed, then realized I’d lost 0.3m value by selling Sonnie Boy! ). I quite like the look of my team though! smile

  3. So 1 game down and 10 points on the board courtesy of Son.
    I benched my Tottenham and Palace defender’s as I felt both teams would concede.
    A nice solid start.

  4. Feck. Totally forgot there was a Friday game this week. Missed the deadline. Left my 2 FTs and money in the bank. Still no Haaland in my team.

    Definitely a game week to watch from behind the sofa.

    • Wait ignore that. Losing my mind. Haaland plays United this week. All my hopes are on Mr Potato head. Not sure that’s better or worse than relying on Bournemouth.

        • Hahaha – head up mate (it sounds like bad form to say ‘Chin up’, given your user name!). You’ll do alright this week. Do you think that Mo looks like Mr Potato Head? I guess it must be the moustache – hardly the same arms though (the real Mr PH might give away a few penalties with those stiff arms held in the air!). What about one of the Super Mario Bros???

      • Yeah. Came back from injury. Can’t play all games from the start. We should have known.

  6. Played wildcard this week. With my poor team value , it was either Halland or Son I felt. So I ended up not having Son. I have Salah, Saka, Haaland, Watkins, Trippier and Alvarez as my “more expensive” options with Diaby, Gordon, Gabriel, Johnson, Cash, Tsimikas, Taylor making up the playing squad with 2 non playing (keeper and mid)

    I have zero in the bank. I felt I couldnt not have Haaland at least until at least after Bournemouth.

    Who are people “sacrificing” to be able to afford Son or is your TV just much higher than mine? Mine is 101.4

    • I usually never check this but my team value is 103.8
      I dont have salah and hence can afford Son
