Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 18

There may be some games to chat about…

We are at the time of writing down to just the five four fixtures. By the time this hits the airwaves then… who knows!

In theory there are were two games on Saturday with Villa and Burnley kicking us off on their lonesome at 3pm before Leeds and Arsenal ‘completed’ the day at 5.30pm. Now it’s just the latter.

Sunday looks relatively crowded then with three games! Two at 2pm with Newcastle having the unenviable task of trying to restrict Man City as well as Wolves and Chelsea competing to see who can miss the most chances in a game. Our rather curtailed GW comes to an end at 4.30pm as Spurs welcome Liverpool.*

*delete as applicable

There is then a bit of respite with a break until next Sunday.

Assuming there is a GW19 to speak of it is our intention to have some normal articles on the upcoming midweek, but we shall probably, and quite sensibly play this by ear!

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 18 from all at FF247!

Just a quick note as to what to expect from us this week. And beyond. Thought I’d best say as we literally didn’t know ourselves until a few hours ago! For obvious reasons.

We have decided to combine the FF247 Site Team with a Xmas Tips article (with the Predicted Line-Ups tagged on the end of it). Site Team is on a WC so that sort of works.

We have binned Capos. Because of Salah. And Leeds.

I’ve asked for contributions for an ‘Inside the Mind Of’ article and so all being well there will be one of those, but at this stage it could just be me vs The Wonder Kid (Rosco). Should be interesting enough regardless though.

H&L Predictions for the rest of the Christmas period will be up too.

Beyond that it will be very brief Site Team articles and a Live Match Chat each game-week, as we lurch from one week into another over Christmas.

    Evening all,
Any advice on how I should move forward here? A lot of money in the bank but not sure who to spend it on.
Thinking maybe a straightforward upgrade like Livra >> James? Or Pukki >> Antonio, who hasn’t scored in a while but has a brilliant run over the next 8GWs

When you don’t have one of the big expensive boys up front, the rest of the team can look pretty nice

I had Ronaldo until last week but switched him to Watkins due to cancellations, and spread the funds to get Mount and Ramsdale. Don’t really see an easy way to get him back in

And now you’ve inadvertently wandered into that situation you may as well keep it like that, certainly for Christmas anyway. Quantity is probably more important right now. I’d maybe even grab a back up keeper as more of a priority.

to avoid this situation i kept ronaldo.. i could have got lacazette but decided against it.
with the fixtures that ManU have want to keep Ronaldo for an extended run. ManU are not playing great but when they do score, Ronaldo seems to be getting the goals mostly.

Hey everyone, just in case I get locked in to a vortex of constant pre-dinner drinks, preparations, doing overtime as Father Christmas at the local shopping centre, or just getting my head stuck in a turkey (à la Mr Bean),….then Merrry Christmas, Hannukah, or whatever your end of year celebrations may be! Let’s all keep in mind that this is the friendliest, most convivial and in the end, the most informative, because we’re all at ease with each other’s personalities and various idiosyncrasies!
I love it and I appreciate your input, suggestions (And jokes! – Now that is tolerance!)
    See you soon! smile

Hi All, Wishing you smashing folks a joy filled festive season! Do stay safe.

Do I need to make a trsf, or better to hold during these scary times? 1FT .2 ib
Is my line up and bench in best order? How likely is Dennis to score against WOL?
Am holding steady in rank with all the help received, so many thanks kiss

Scottish Football limited to 500 maximum spectators – regardless of stadium size – from December 26th until middle of January (effectively the winter break) meaning very end of January before we can get back in.

    Wales announced similar yesterday.
