We hope that GW1 was kind to you, but worry not if it wasn’t, as GW2 is upon us already. This one begins on Saturday lunchtime with Liverpool hosting Burnley and hoping for better than the 0-1 defeat they managed last season. The big change this season is the return of multiple 3pm Saturday games, and what a welcome relief that is. We have FOUR of them this week with matches at Villa, Palace, Leeds and the Etihad. Saturday ends with Brighton welcoming Watford at 5.30pm.
Sunday should be fun as Manchester United go to the Saints who they had much fun with last season, Nuno gets an early return to Wolves and then Thomas Tactics gets to further nail Arteta into his inevitable Arsenal coffin. (Editor: Bit dark that, even for Init!)
We depart GW2 with our first Monday night game of the new season as Leicester go to West Ham, could be a cracker that.

Early thoughts?
2 FT, 0.5 M ITB.
Barnes to Benrahma and carry one.
Alternatively, Digne to Cresswell or Coufal looks good too.
I was thinking of doing it last week. I don’t know if I am chasing now and he’s risen to 6.2 already. But he looks really good, doesn’t he!?
On the other hand, Barnes is playing leaky Norwich defense, so it’s a bit tricky to sell him now.
I am 60/40 leaning towards doing this transfer, I think.

Basically, Barnes, Toney, Digne and Tsimikas are on the chopping board.
I had two FT and I went Barnes to Benrahma last night.
I don’t advise leaving Benrahma just because he has two good returns. They won’t be his last.
I had him and changed him last minute to Barnes so I knew watching him last night I had to fix that mistake. That’s what the game is all about.
Great shout. I was the same re Ben & Barnes but just didn’t want to double up on West Ham before I see them play. I am usually way too cautious and patient with my transfers which is one of my biggest mistakes, so I might as well do it now and hope I wasn’t too late, as usual.

Iheanacho and Barnes – DCL and Benrahma
Or
Iheanacho and Fernandes- Lukaku and Pogba/Benrahma
Would move Tsimikas next week
I don’t know who is more essential Lukaku or Fernandes but too much of a comparison elsewhere to have them both along with Salah x
I like the first option you mentioned. Both DCL & Ben look really good.
The DCL and Ben for me, but I think Bruno is essential.
I’d go Iheanacho and Barnes to DCL and Benrahma for sure.
Lukaku looks awesome but not at the expense of Salah and Bruno in my view.

Not a bad week. Have 2 transfers saved up. Need to sort out that defense and shield myself from price falls. Veltman and White to Ayling and Dier or maybe keep White for the upcoming fixtures? If so, which one would you get?
Will Livramento continue playing? Might be a good idea to free up .5 in order to get some Chelsea players in soon.
I think Livramento is fine.
Perhaps he and Dier for me.

Ings, Barnes & Trent will have to leave if Lukaku is to come in after IB & should be a -4 if that happens.

2 FT 0.ITB. Is defence my my concern? Not keen on Toney and Barnes, Barnes will also drop in price soon. Any suggestions?
i would suggest best thing to do is to get antonio somehow

I like the Mahrez to Pogba. Or do I go cheaper to try and get Lukaku in?
How much cheaper would you have to go?
Drop Mahrez to Gray?
It would mean a 4 point hit or down to 4.5 mid
Think I would go the DCL route.
One option is Barnes to a 6.5 mid (or Gray looks great at 5.5 for more cash) before his price drop. Then upgrade one of the defenders. White to Coufal or one of the 4’s to a 4.5.
This might be the safer and easier move to make now.
