Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 2

We hope that GW1 was kind to you, but worry not if it wasn’t, as GW2 is upon us already. This one begins on Saturday lunchtime with Liverpool hosting Burnley and hoping for better than the 0-1 defeat they managed last season. The big change this season is the return of multiple 3pm Saturday games, and what a welcome relief that is. We have FOUR of them this week with matches at Villa, Palace, Leeds and the Etihad. Saturday ends with Brighton welcoming Watford at 5.30pm.

Sunday should be fun as Manchester United go to the Saints who they had much fun with last season, Nuno gets an early return to Wolves and then Thomas Tactics gets to further nail Arteta into his inevitable Arsenal coffin. (Editor: Bit dark that, even for Init!)

We depart GW2 with our first Monday night game of the new season as Leicester go to West Ham, could be a cracker that.

  2. 0itb 1ft not happy with ESM, White, Hazerts or Toney been tempted to WC but dont feel like its worth it as I could sort this over the course of the next few weeks.

    What would you guys suggest.

  3. Trying to understand the dynamics of FPL. Mate of mine is bragging that he did Maddison to benrhama gw2. Obviously worked out well. He is claiming it was a shrewd move but my view is was a kneejerk that got lucky. even though benrhama is a great pick my logic was why sell maddison after 1gw especially when he has Norwich gw3. Just wondering what the more experiences managers think

    • I think sometimes its chasing points, but sometimes its a player passing the eye test and you thinking he is going to deliver week on week.

      I was tempted to do the same move with Barnes, however like yourself, I want to hold until after Norwich.

      Its all just a calculated gamble in the end though.

    • We all make transfers that work/don’t work. I’m usually in the don’t group. wacko

    • Benrahma is on fire. I would get but unwilling to sell Greenwood or Raphinha for him…yet.

    Was going to do Barnes to Ben aswell but might give him the Norwich game.

    • I plan to do Tmiskas to Livermento tonight if the latter looks to rise.

    • I’ve already pulled the trigger on Tsmiskas to Livermento. Now I am debating whether I play him or Bissouma this GW. 4-3-3 vs 3-5-3. Bissouma at home to Everton is not a awful fixture vs SOTON away to Newcastle…..meh.

        • There’s still this part of me that says “How can you bring in a new player and not put them on the pitch? Seems a bit sideways don’t you think?” I guess that is the debate part. Imagine the little devil and angel on opposite shoulders from the old cartoons.
