Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 33
We arrive at Gameweek 33 and it’s yet another big doubler with no less than 7 teams appearing twice across the next six days.
We start shortly with Tottenham hosting a Brighton side fresh from a creditable win in this neck of the North London woods. This would be a big statement from Spurs over Arsenal in the race for fourth if they comfortably take care of Brighton as they did Villa.
At 3pm, we have games at Manchester United; who play Norwich, Southampton; who welcome Arsenal and Watford who host Brentford.
There is no Saturday evening game in the league as attention turns to Manchester City v Liverpool Part II, this time in the FA Cup semi final, which was supposed to be later but has been brought forward due to travel issues for both sets of supporters.
I’m sure FPL can take a back seat for one evening.
Sunday brings us simultaneous kick offs at 2.15pm. At Newcastle, who play Leicester and at The London Stadium where Burnley are West Ham’s visitors. Again, FA Cup semi final action – this time Chelsea v Crystal Palace – takes centre stage at 4.30pm.
There is no action on Monday but Tuesday brings us Liverpool v Manchester United at Anfield.
We have four matches on Wednesday headlined by a London derby between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. Everton play Leicester and Newcastle have Crystal Palace at home at the same time. Then fifteen minutes later Manchester City kick off against Brighton at the Etihad to respond to whatever Liverpool have come up with the night before.
The gameweek ends with Burnley v Southampton on Thursday which is the proverbial damp squib.

Still lots of football to play this week but here are some early transfer thoughts I am having. I have 2 FT and 0.8 ITB. The only chip I have left is a FH. Really not sure when I will use it. What do you think? I’m probably out of my mind.

The Athletic said today that Haaland has reached personal term with city for a move in the summer. Always looked the most likely destination tbf.
How much do you think he will be? Will anyone dare start without him in their sides?

If the rumours are true that Lewandowski could join Liverpool we’ll be in trouble budget wise.

Liverpool already are overloaded with 5 class forwards. Dont know why they ll get Lewandowski now. They ll have to completely change the system for him.

Assuming Salah is 13 again and Kane 12.5 then probably 12.5. And no, he’ll be a must have. Then again the above two probably are also and that’s 38m gone already!
i think 12 probably. i think he might be essential. But i thought the same about CR7 & Lukaku early this season. Also note Haaland has been injury prone this season and last. Missed quite a lot of games.
It will certainly help to differentiate teams a little at least, tough choices ahead next season.
