Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 33
We arrive at Gameweek 33 and it’s yet another big doubler with no less than 7 teams appearing twice across the next six days.
We start shortly with Tottenham hosting a Brighton side fresh from a creditable win in this neck of the North London woods. This would be a big statement from Spurs over Arsenal in the race for fourth if they comfortably take care of Brighton as they did Villa.
At 3pm, we have games at Manchester United; who play Norwich, Southampton; who welcome Arsenal and Watford who host Brentford.
There is no Saturday evening game in the league as attention turns to Manchester City v Liverpool Part II, this time in the FA Cup semi final, which was supposed to be later but has been brought forward due to travel issues for both sets of supporters.
I’m sure FPL can take a back seat for one evening.
Sunday brings us simultaneous kick offs at 2.15pm. At Newcastle, who play Leicester and at The London Stadium where Burnley are West Ham’s visitors. Again, FA Cup semi final action – this time Chelsea v Crystal Palace – takes centre stage at 4.30pm.
There is no action on Monday but Tuesday brings us Liverpool v Manchester United at Anfield.
We have four matches on Wednesday headlined by a London derby between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. Everton play Leicester and Newcastle have Crystal Palace at home at the same time. Then fifteen minutes later Manchester City kick off against Brighton at the Etihad to respond to whatever Liverpool have come up with the night before.
The gameweek ends with Burnley v Southampton on Thursday which is the proverbial damp squib.

Who would you bring in for Kane? Could work. Kane has decent fixtures but who know with them, seem to have gone off the boil.

Getting Bruno for Salah as one week punt must be my biggest mistake this season. He is coming back straight away, don’t care about any DGWs anymore
Agree. DGW are the worse trap. Only works if good teams are playing them. I would like to get Mount in but don’t think he is worth 8ph.
DGWs get the best of us once in a while…
Salah, De Bruyne and Son are season keepers unless injured. With other mids who flare and die along the way.
Some people here have issues if I tell negative about Bruno.
That is because you are talking to wise FPL players Reg! Bruno is still in the top 10 for
midfielders, He has 139pts playing in a team who have forgot how to fight, ( Man U Fan who gets up religiously at 3.00am to watch the shite) Once Ralf gets McTominay and Fred back in the centre, Matic and Mata back in their OAP’s home, Pogba out wide so there is time for others to clear up his mess when he loses the ball all the time, Dalot back to AWB who can actually get back to defend when he plays a shit ball into the middle, Shaw back so we can at least get over the half way line, Lingard and Rashford sat back moaning to each other on the bench, Who have i missed out, what was the question again? I actually feel sorry for Maguire as he never knows which unmarked midfielder rushing through to defend, of course he’s going to make mistakes then, Hanniball came on and the ref was so surprised that a United player had challenged for the ball twice in quick succession, that surely he must be doing something wrong, Any way my point is if they can get back to a fit midfield, Bruno will once again become an attacking force, now where is the praying Emoji ?! Rant over
If he is priced at 9.5-10 m next season he could be an option again. Not worth 12m.
Same goes for kdb and mane. All overpriced and hence the low ownership. 9.5-10.5 is fair price for these players.
Bruno is good when there is no Ronaldo.He’s also better when there is no Pogba. It’s happened all season. United having no fit midfielders is an issue as Bruno has to drop deeper. Team is also a mess
That’s why I used my FT to bring back Salah. That hokey pokey with Bruno was a disaster.
Sadly just no way to put Mane too. They should make him 10 m next year to make it viable to get him.
May be Salah will remain MID and Mane will be made FWD as he is playing centrally….Firmino will be faded.
Think diaz and jota should be classified as forwards. In fact all of them technically forwards, none of them really midfielders.
