Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 33

We arrive at Gameweek 33 and it’s yet another big doubler with no less than 7 teams appearing twice across the next six days.

We start shortly with Tottenham hosting a Brighton side fresh from a creditable win in this neck of the North London woods. This would be a big statement from Spurs over Arsenal in the race for fourth if they comfortably take care of Brighton as they did Villa.

At 3pm, we have games at Manchester United; who play Norwich, Southampton; who welcome Arsenal and Watford who host Brentford.

There is no Saturday evening game in the league as attention turns to Manchester City v Liverpool Part II, this time in the FA Cup semi final, which was supposed to be later but has been brought forward due to travel issues for both sets of supporters.

I’m sure FPL can take a back seat for one evening.

Sunday brings us simultaneous kick offs at 2.15pm. At Newcastle, who play Leicester and at The London Stadium where Burnley are West Ham’s visitors. Again, FA Cup semi final action – this time Chelsea v Crystal Palace – takes centre stage at 4.30pm.

There is no action on Monday but Tuesday brings us Liverpool v Manchester United at Anfield.

We have four matches on Wednesday headlined by a London derby between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. Everton play Leicester and Newcastle have Crystal Palace at home at the same time. Then fifteen minutes later Manchester City kick off against Brighton at the Etihad to respond to whatever Liverpool have come up with the night before.

The gameweek ends with Burnley v Southampton on Thursday which is the proverbial damp squib.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

The highs and lows of FPL. Minutes after my C Saka scores a penalty (soft one) and I never expected him to be penalty taker, Lacazette comes on for like 12 seconds to block my Iheanacho points.

So….Mount over Havertz now after today’s game? Or….does Mount playing 90+ and Lukaku looking crap again (Ramsdale had more touches!) mean Havertz is now the better option for 34??
Another question which impacts question 1 massively….Mateta vs WAT or Joao Pedro vs cry/EVE for dgw36?
    So …with an eye on 34 & 36 ….
    1-Havertz & Mateta
    2-Mount & Pedro

i have the same exact dilemma havertz or mount.. I am leaning Havertz for now. Think he ll start again.
No idea J pedro or Mateta.. dont expect anything from these 2

Cheers Reg …I’ve been planning Havertz for a while and never really wanted Mount …whenever I’ve had him he always blanks for long periods. Having said that, his form, price, importance to the team & point projections are all in his favour.
        What’s making you pick Havertz?
Yeah I’m not expecting much from either too tbh, but who’d you expect more points from in GW36? Pedro could also be Nketia if he stays in the team with a point to prove …although that would involve shifting White out too

        • Reg83 says:

Same as you. When i put mount, he seems to blank. Havertz more direct goal threat. Though he is bit up and down. Could score a brace or blank 2 or 3 in a row.

    My thoughts

    A) Maddison, Telles and Broja out for Mount, Alonso and 4.5 striker -8) could be -4 without Alonso
    B) Maddison and Broja out for Havertz and Gelhardt
    C) Anything else (ignore Chelsea and save)

    Hey Guys

Would you go Mendy or Alonso for chelsea defence cover this week?

Obviously Alonso has the biggest upside pointswise, but also the biggest rotation risk

Stuck picking between havertz & mount too!

    Thanks
