FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 4
FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 4
Welcome back to FPL and if you are one of these shut-down-completely types who has spent the time between the end of Gameweek 3 and this deadline up a mountain with no internet or civilisation, you haven’t missed an awful lot (pffft)! Just tell me you made your transfers or pressed the confirm button correctly? No? You could be in for a rough one then.
Anyway, the fixtures themselves have us off to the capital this lunchtime for a South meets North affair as Palace host Spurs at Selhurst Park.
At 3pm – in a continuing glorious and welcome return of normality – we have count ’em SIX matches on offer. Those who have the luxury of watching matches at this time, we guess you may have your eyes fully on Old Trafford as the world watches how Newcastle will line up without Callum Wilson. United v United, Red v Black and White.
Arsenal and Norwich square off in what already looks like a six-pointer (jokes) and there are matches at Southampton, as they welcome West Ham United, and Watford who host Wolves. Meanwhile two Cities collide at the KP where Leicester and Manchester renew rivalries with the Foxes sharing the most recent fortune in their meetings.
Lastly, it is ironic how two teams who play football on the ground sounds like the airborne battle of the weekend as the Bees play the Seagulls. Brentford v Brighton is also a phonetic dream.
At dinner time (winks), Chelsea and Rom go after the (Argentine-free) Villains.
Sunday has us waiting until 4.30pm before we can enjoy Leeds v Liverpool (Mark Viduka springs to mind) and until then, I don’t know – talk to your family or something I guess.
MNF is Everton v Burnley and is one for the DCL captainers to pin their Gameweek 4 hopes on.
Enjoy!
The games in full…

FF247 LEAGUES FOR 2021/22
Fantasy Football 247 League Codes:
Both leagues will be shut to new entrants as of 01/01/22.
On WC….
Team A with 1.6 ITB to upgrade Gray/Gallagher to a performing 6+ mid (whenever he emerges)
or
Team B with Ronaldo/Lukaku but risking rotation with Marcal and stuck with 5.5-6.0 mids
Feel like having both Ronnie and Lukaku isn’t worth imbalance to the rest of the squad
Team A
Team B
I think it’s v hard to keep Trent if you’re rolling with Rom+Ron and keeping a strong starting 11. If he is switched to a 5.5m or less it lets you pick up the better 6m midfield options.
Drop Trent and it frees up the funds to upgrade the mids.
Sorry I’m not sure I’m a massive fan of either personally. I think the two 5.5 mids will become too big a problem sooner or later
Thanks, will switch out one of them
Would you rather have DCL or Bamford now!
I’ll be watching the final two matches of this GW closely is all I’ll say.
Thanks GP
Why will marcal be rotated? Has played each minute till now.
If u put the big 3 plus trent, then of course u rely on 5.5 to 6.5 mids.
Not sure he will until he gets injured. They have Ait Nouri waiting but he’s started all of pre season and every game so he’s a decent option
Need to get rid of son probably even if he is fit as Tottenham don’t look scoring more than 1goal.
But no attractive 8 to 10 m players.
Son and tsimikas out for raphinha and taa worth a – 4?
If i dont do this, i will be forced to play reguilon vs Chelsea or ayling where leeds are struggling to keep a cs
I wouldn’t take a -4.
In terms of a midfielder maybe look at Chelsea.
I like that -4
Apologies I misread, I thought you were ditching TAA.
It’s an ok move. Leeds have great fixtures and TAA is a superdude.
What are we going to do with Antonio? Move him on or bench for a week?
I mentioned this yesterday, I can’t see a reason why you’d sell him. You’ll only want him back
Benching him I’d only want him back. Will use it to get a better bench
Will cost to sell and buy back
Really will depend on watching Bamford and DCL still.
Antonio is a brilliant option still and I’ll likely hold but you can’t say they’re aren’t any capable alternatives.
I would hold for the medium term. West ham fixtures do turn tougher from. Gw8. And even tougher after gw10. If Bamford dcl or anyone show form i could sell then..
Its benrahma who i am worried about it
Not so sure he maintains his earlier form
For me it comes down whether or not I want to start Toney or Brownhill next week.
My instinct is to bench Antonio but my bench is utterly useless and I’ll be starting Brownhill.
However If I sell Antonio this week my plan will be to bring him back immediately (for Toney). Toney will get the gig for me next GW. On balance I prefer the idea of Toney starting whilst regretting I didn’t invest in Brentford’s defence.
I might take a shot on Jminiez with the fixtures ahead. Then if I can hold my impatient finger for long enough, Antonio can come back in for Lukaku on gW13
That assist from Pepe
