FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 6
FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 6
Five gameweeks in already, how time flies when you’re having fun!
Gameweek 6 begins on Saturday this week, thank the good lord! (Pardew?). The normality ends there though as we have two 12.30 kick offs. Chelsea look to continue their solid form as they welcome Man City while Villa take the trip up the M6 to Old Trafford.
Why are United at 12.30pm but not on TV? Because The Courteeners are playing at Old Trafford Cricket Ground that night! These rock bands think they can Take Over The World!
Four 3pm matches follow as Everton hope the visit of Norwich may inject some momentum into their campaign, Antonio looks to single handedly destroy the Leeds defence, Leicester host Burnley and Newcastle take the long trip down to Watford where the Hornets might be asking the Geordies What Took You So Long?
The evening match sees miserly Brentford hoping to contain Salah & co who are eyeing another league title. Not Nineteen Forever then Reds?
Sunday sees two matches. First up is Wolves – with Adama Traore Cavorting (but not scoring) as they go to Southampton and then we have the NLD at The Emirates as Arsenal and Spurs fight it out to see who can be London’s worst club. Taking the perfect opportunity to slag both clubs in one sentence? No You Didn’t, No You Don’t!
Our gameweek ends on Monday as Palace draw swords with their arch enemies, Brighton. If you have FPL players in this one, Bide Your Time.
The games in full…

With 6 players on 0 points for the week I’m writing this off and looking to next week.
A couple of options under consideration which is essentially ASM, Rudiger & Grealish/8.0mid or Vardy, Thiago Silva & 4.5mid
Silva and Alonso with Tsim there seems risky, you could be short some weeks.
Twin and Livramento would be benched most weeks. Silva is there to save the extra 0.2 needed to fund the other moves
So Gallagher has outscored Ronaldo in just 45mins…..
#Cookieknows 😉
Seriously considering him now.
Hey all, hope you’ve all had a good start to the season. So I am thinking Torres out (especially if he starts in the CL) two blanks is frustrating. Have 1.5m itb thinking of a Chelsea player for their good run, none of them scream at me though. Any other ideas?
I would just go somone like Gallagher or Raphina and use the cash to get Chelsea defenders.

Cheers st. Who’s the most locked Rüdiger or Azpilicueta?
Would you lose TAA for a 2nd Chelsea def?
Personally…no!
Sorry Constantine, that sounded a bit abrupt, but I reckon TAA is probably the most nailed, fixture proof and consistently high performer other than Salah and …maybe Ronaldo?….but much cheaper and better value. Season keeper and starter unless injured or badly out of form imo
Thanks RedKev. TAA for me is a ser and forget def. But, he’s taking a lot of chunk from the budget right now. And I see better value for the next 7-8 games in Chelsea defenders. I’ll try to squeeze TAA back again, once Pool’s fixtures start looking beter (GW13 probably). Also, can use that extra money to upgrade my forward lineup.
Over the next 7 it’s not the worst plan. But TAA can score big at any time, so you’d be nervous for ever pool set pice.
Hearing Trent is not in the CL squad and is a doubt for the Citeh game.
He has not travelled to Portugal.
Cheers Elle. That’s a decisive information. Will get him back once he’s fit and firing.
I’d have him alongside two Chelsea defenders but for all that, Liverpool did rather foolishly concede three versus the mighty Brentford. They are likely to concede versus Man City. Watford tonked them 3-0 fairly recently, etc – TAA’s appeal is potential attacking returns with good CS potential. Take one of those two elements out then he becomes less appealing.
For all that Liverpool’s looming fixtures look pretty good in terms of potential attacking returns; hopefully there will be a CS or two as well.
There are whispers that he’s injured / sick. Dunno what’s happening there.
Hey people! Bit of a miserable gw finishing on 35pts(39 + -4) so bit gutted after a decent start! What would you do with this team?
Potential problems:
– Bamford ….how long is he likely out for?
– Torres ….cheap and excellent way to get a City Forward ….at least, when he plays ….which is becoming less
– James …. Best CS potential with good added attack ….but again ….only when he plays, and now injured too!?
Im wondering whether to just do Bamford to Jimenez (pros …no hit, good fixtures, banks 0.4, cons …apart from that 1 goal, all previous stats this season told me to stay away), or look at the bigger picture and downgrade certain problems to the likes of ESR,Sarr
…..Wolves defenders etc to upgrade bamford to a Jesus/Vardy or someone!?
Who would you look to drop/bring in and are any moves worth a hit?
Look at post 83.3 above.
Damn …hadn’t seen that …1 more to add to the list! Think a -4 at the minimum gonna be worth it now seeing as I could be playing with just 10? I was thinking these as planned moves over next couple of weeks but not sure which to aim for…
1- ESR/Alonso/Jesus + 0.7
2-ESR/Marcel/Vardy + 0.2
