Five gameweeks in already, how time flies when you’re having fun!

Gameweek 6 begins on Saturday this week, thank the good lord! (Pardew?). The normality ends there though as we have two 12.30 kick offs. Chelsea look to continue their solid form as they welcome Man City while Villa take the trip up the M6 to Old Trafford.

Why are United at 12.30pm but not on TV? Because The Courteeners are playing at Old Trafford Cricket Ground that night! These rock bands think they can Take Over The World!

Four 3pm matches follow as Everton hope the visit of Norwich may inject some momentum into their campaign, Antonio looks to single handedly destroy the Leeds defence, Leicester host Burnley and Newcastle take the long trip down to Watford where the Hornets might be asking the Geordies What Took You So Long?

The evening match sees miserly Brentford hoping to contain Salah & co who are eyeing another league title. Not Nineteen Forever then Reds?

Sunday sees two matches. First up is Wolves – with Adama Traore Cavorting (but not scoring) as they go to Southampton and then we have the NLD at The Emirates as Arsenal and Spurs fight it out to see who can be London’s worst club. Taking the perfect opportunity to slag both clubs in one sentence? No You Didn’t, No You Don’t!

Our gameweek ends on Monday as Palace draw swords with their arch enemies, Brighton. If you have FPL players in this one, Bide Your Time.

Is Chritiansen worth a punt for Shaw, I still have Torres, not sure if he’s worth waiting for.

What a win for Arsenal cool

Any advice for my team here? I was planning on Sarr >> Raphinha this week but I think I’d be better off holding on to him. Would it be crazy to consider losing TAA after just bringing him in on my WC? Getting Rudiger instead would give me the funds to get Raphinha for Skipp, I can see Chelsea keeping 4-5 clean sheets in the next 5 so he should have a similar amount of points to TAA. I’d switch my formation to 3-4-3

The White and Saka picks are all right for me – Arsenal have got some very handy budget assets – but having three of their players is pushing it a bit – maybe wait and see re Auba. Brighton won’t be as easy for them as Spurs and while their fixtures are all right, they’re not that secure (in my view).

I would have more nailed and less injured second Chelsea defender, e.g. not James.

      • AJW says:

So Kralin, just as an aside :if you’ll pardon my indiscretion, what were you planning on doing with little Ronnie this week? Are you envisaging a change to Lukaku? I was, but am now in 2 minds (at least! ) as to whether I should just keep for 1 more week to see if Ole doesn’t whip the boys into a frenzy for next GW. But sorry, this was all about Arsenal wasn’t it.? Well I do agree with your above thoughts in that 1 or 2 are okay, but 3 is unnecessary. Bye for now! smile

        • Kralin says:

I’ve got a defensive injury crisis – James and Shaw – so moving James out will be my first priority this week.

Will almost certainly be keeping Ronaldo this week and likely to captain him again. Rough plan is to say goodbye next, for Lukaku.

If the Euro games lead to more injuries I may have to wildcard – if that happens will reconsider and may just get Lukaku in now.

        • AJW says:

Was thinking that this maybe my option too – as I have James to consider, and will probably leave Lukaku move until after the IB (‘There’s many a slip, twixt cup and lip’!). Anyway, it is a rather exciting injury replacement prob to have – imagine being obliged to trade someone for the ultra exciting Alonso or Rudiger???
I mean, it’s really enticing! If Alonso is really, as one person put it, Chelsea’s second striker after Luka, then this is a lip-smacking prospective move! And Ronnie doesn’t have the worst of match-ups, plus ‘You ‘n I Ted’ will have a point to prove this weekend. It all augurs well mein Kralin! smile
          Cheerio! 😉
