Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8.

These GW’s get earlier and earlier. We begin this one with a 4pm deadline on Friday as Brighton and Burnley go all Box Office on us. Ever that hardy and all that… The late game is at 8pm as Southampton begin life sans Danny Ings against Newcastle.

Saturday sees the now normal succession of games beginning at 12.30pm with Everton hosting Man United and ending at about 10pm as West Ham and Fulham do battle in the late one (8pm KO). In between Palace and Leeds occupy the 3pm slot and Sheffield United go to Chelsea at 5.30pm.

It’s another marathon on Sunday as West Brom and Spurs kick us off at 12pm, Leicester host Wolves at 2pm, it’s the biggie at 4.30 pm as Pep welcomes Jurgen before Arsenal and Villa welcome in the International Break at 7.15pm.

  1. 0.3 ITB, 1FT. Initial plan was to do Bamford to Antonio. Should I stick to that? I guess I should wait for Antonio news. Will it be sensible to drop Bamford for him? sideways move?

    • bamford for long term, in form and hardworking, Antonio ia injured and unknown. or do jumb only Antonio is hitting form again!

    • Good squad and I couldn’t honestly pick between those two strikers at the moment. I think you chill out and see if you need to even make a transfer elsewhere after the international break.

    • I’m starting to think Bamford is a decent option. His finishing is not fantastic but I love how he gets so many chancesp

  2. my midfielder are zaha, grealish, hames, salah and son, by gw10 fixture swing i really want ziyech, Bruno and kdb.
who are you prioritise to in and out?

my thoughts are son, zaha, and hames to kdb, Bruno then ziyech? opinions are welcomed. cheers

    • Do you have Kane?

Always better to post a picture of your team to give us some context.

      • Presume you are sacrificing Kane to fund. Bruno is priority then because of fixture and then KDB. Ziyech as good as he looked is less so as Grealish and Hamez have decent fixtures

    • If you’re brave Salah to kdb is the easiest way. You will pocket some funds too.

  3. Like most I’m starting to think about Man City and GW10-GW13. I’m hoping I’ll be able to bank this week, but we’ll see. I have Vardy, who is also a decent captain options for that stretch. Therefore thinking Foden and Aguero offer best value albeit with some gametime risk. For GW10 it would be Jimenez and Rodriguez out to give this with 0.0.0ITB. Or am I mad to go without KDB/Sterling.

    • I’d be going for KDB or Sterling. Aguero has hardly played in quite a while now. He also keeps picking up injuries. Could even be Jesus that plays a lot more now

    • Youre mad to go without kdb sterling ! smile

    • Thanks both. Tricky then, some thinking needed. Salah, Son and Rodriguez to Sterling, KDB and Foden works, but I think that would be mad as well! Robertson to a 3.9 def and Rodriguez to KDB/Sterling works, but leaves my defence very risky! Jimenez and Son to KDB/Sterling and Bamford is probably the least mad option so far, although I would like yo keep Son.

      • Current team:

        • Robbo Jimi and Hames out to enable it is what i would be looking at i think.

        • Probably this

        • Ignore 69.4, I was just looking at the image above (team with Aguero) and presumed that was your current team.
So I am thinking now – roll FT and then start changing things around once you see what you’ll be working with (injuries, price changes, form, etc).

    • I’d be great to have KDB/Sterling but I don’t think it’s worth maiming your team in the process. If Aguero is fit and looks like starting, you could go as it is. If not, you either have to go without them or sacrifice Salah/Son/Vardy.

  4. West Bromwich Albion v Tottenham Hotspur

    • I think Mou believes this is the optimal starting XI. It’d be interesting to see how will these players work together as a team.

      • Yeah I’d agree with that

      • Dont have him but hope bale plays well. A few assists to kane be class

        • Yes! Not a Spurs fan, but you always love it when a returning hero (Bale) performs.

  5. A genuine question to Son and Kane’s owners. I (like many others) have them both and unsure what to do with them going forward. Albeit today’s game, are you keeping them both or just one of them? I doubt that anyone’s ditching them all together even though the next 7 out of 8 games look horrible.

    • Possibly keeping one, not sure which yet.Going to see what happens when they play City to decide.Gonna be a tough decision but at least one has to go.

    • I think I’ll probably keep Son and go without Kane. My reasoning is Spurs will be on the counter attack more which should suit Son more than Kane. Kane is also closer in price to a City mid. I’ve not ruled out getting rid of both

    • Definitely going to keep one. Shipping 1 makes kdb an easy option. I’ll make moves after the IB.

    • For their game against City, Ill keep them both.

    • I only have Son and would be tempted to keep him. They have tough games, but teams will attack them more and leave themselves more open to the counter. They could still score well in some games.

      • I agree. With both Kane & Bale, Son makes the one to keep. Too much competition from Forwards for the ball. Need someone to provide assist & occasional goal.

  6. Interesting the site team brought in Kane this week. That suggests they either plan to keep or to Wild card soon.
