Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 9

Just as Gameweek 8 is escorted politely off the premises, we have a quick five minute tea break and welcome Gameweek 9. It’s coming at us like a train as well and it begins with another (brilliant!) Friday night deadline.

We kick off at the Emirates as Arsenal welcome Aston Villa in what will be the Gunners second match within 95 hours.

Saturday lunchtime’s offering is Chelsea v Norwich City at SW6 and fear not about captaining Romelu Lukaku as this is not (technically) the early kick off, well it is an early kick off. You get the point. That and the fact that Salah blew that daft theory to pieces in Gameweek 8.

Saturday then continues at 3pm with matches at Crystal Palace – who welcome Newcastle, Everton – who host Watford in the Z Cars derby, Leeds entertain Wolves and Southampton roll out the welcome mat for Dyche’s Clarets.

Saturday evening is spent on the south coast as Brighton and Potter will be hoping to cast a spell over Pep and his charges at the Amex.

Brentford v Leicester is one of two 2pm matches on Sunday, the other being the Europa League v Europa Conference League showdown as West Ham play Tottenham at the London Bowl.

Super Sunday is a cracker – Manchester United v Liverpool – it’s what red wine, a roast dinner and a coal fire was designed for and we also get to see again ‘The Best Player In The World (currently)’ TM.

Oh and it may also be the death rattle of Ole as well.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 9 from all at FF247!

Thanks for reading FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 9.

Hey gang, giant mess on my hands here. No idea where to start! Open to any and all suggestions! No WC available unfortunately. 2 FTs, 2.0 itb.

Wait for the press conferences later in the week. Hopefully most of them will be OK as they are all with 75% chance of playing apart from Dennis who is suspended for one game. In the meantime you can get Mount for Jota, but I would wait until the midweek Cup games are over.

i have jota and i am keeping him.. benched him unfortunately away to ManU.
The way LIV are playing a 2nd attacker not a bad option. Looks to me Jota Firmino & Mane are likely to rotate and Jota is the cheaper of the 3.

It’s actually not so bad to have a yellow flag at this point. Means they’ll probably get a rest midweek. You could we’ll find they’ll be good for the weekend and we’ll have different injuries to contend with from those who have played.

Sensible fellas, thanks. Unfortunate that all the players I’m looking to keep are flagged and everyone I want to replace is perfectly fine smile

Hmm, Havertz starts and Mount bench in the EFL Cup tonight…
Wonder if that will affect the starting lineups on Saturday mda

Anyone considering Aubameyang? He’s in good form at home and Arsenal have a couple of juicy home games against Watford and Newcastle coming up
I might be tempted to bring him in as my Lukaku replacement if Vardy isn’t fit this GW

      Not the worst punt.

Problem I have is that I tend to see Arsenal these days as a good source of cheap players, rather than getting anyone in the premium bracket.

Their fixtures are all right though remember Watford tonked Everton the other day. Newcastle, yes, one to focus on but around that lie Leicester and Liverpool.

against weak opponents at home he is definitely good option.
but not away or against stronger teams

Worth a 4ph White to Cancelo and Gallagher to Tielemans?
