Just as Gameweek 8 is escorted politely off the premises, we have a quick five minute tea break and welcome Gameweek 9. It’s coming at us like a train as well and it begins with another (brilliant!) Friday night deadline.
We kick off at the Emirates as Arsenal welcome Aston Villa in what will be the Gunners second match within 95 hours.
Saturday lunchtime’s offering is Chelsea v Norwich City at SW6 and fear not about captaining Romelu Lukaku as this is not (technically) the early kick off, well it is an early kick off. You get the point. That and the fact that Salah blew that daft theory to pieces in Gameweek 8.
Saturday then continues at 3pm with matches at Crystal Palace – who welcome Newcastle, Everton – who host Watford in the Z Cars derby, Leeds entertain Wolves and Southampton roll out the welcome mat for Dyche’s Clarets.
Saturday evening is spent on the south coast as Brighton and Potter will be hoping to cast a spell over Pep and his charges at the Amex.
Brentford v Leicester is one of two 2pm matches on Sunday, the other being the Europa League v Europa Conference League showdown as West Ham play Tottenham at the London Bowl.
Super Sunday is a cracker – Manchester United v Liverpool – it’s what red wine, a roast dinner and a coal fire was designed for and we also get to see again ‘The Best Player In The World (currently)’ TM.
Oh and it may also be the death rattle of Ole as well.

Last week I had 2 Chelsea assets…this week zero.

3-0 nil and no Havertz. Mount redeeming himself though
I feel like taking a hit to bring him in and captaining him may turn out to be a regrettable decision
5. He’s hopping around like a wallaby, this way that way but somehow not the right way.
Not watching game, has Havertz looked like scoring.
Brought him in this week for a -4 hit thinking it was Norwich
All I’ve got from Reece James are one pointers, guy finally pays me back!! Great chip to score, now hope Azpi doesn’t come on for a 1 pointer too lol
I applaud your patience, switched him to Rudi a few weeks ago.
I got him in the wc I played in GW 8, so only last week was a 1 pointer this szn. My comments were more on the fact I got James last szn too and he was benched and brought on all the time, it can get a bit frustrating with him.
Happy to get some points for a change
Rudiger is a solid pick, given there’s no doubt that he plays when fit. I’ve always got to worry on rotation with atleast 1/2 players in my team
I wish Reece James was more nailed, as he is an excellent player and one of the best defendersfor attacking points imo.
He’s the best imo if plays, got him in hope mostly but it was the week he got injured. This position is perfect for him. CHO is similar, had him for stints last few years and yeah, frustrating.
Tuchel is copying Pep! I wonder which shaker is Chilwell..
Chilwell my captain!! Got him in as part of a – 8 and finally a punt pays off! Just keep that cs now.

At least we have Mount in our doubles team, Ivan. That was a good shout of yours getting him in a couple of weeks back. Kinda makes up for the capo Havertz blank.
Chips, it crossed my mind so many times to bring him instead of Havertz but then thought him playing as a striker would be smart. Never mind, there is no point crying over spilt milk.
This game has been a total rout – Chelsea have been incredibly dominant, regretting my rush to sell Rudiger when he was ‘red’ flagged.
