Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2.

Well after an eventful start to the fantasy season we look to settle down a bit with a full set of fixtures and not that blankety blank stuff. Evoking memories of chequebooks and pens.

The very popular Everton assets get us going when they welcome West Brom for a lunchtime kickoff. That is followed by three other Saturday fixtures, Leeds vs Fulham, Man U and Mr. Penalty host Palace and Arsenal take on the all but relegated West Ham, all neatly spaced out so we can sit for about half the day in front of the TV.

Sunday gives us four more games, also kindly spread out, so much so that no two games ever coincide. Saints welcome Spurs in the early one and that is followed by Toon vs Brighton. In the best game on paper Chelsea and their Bundesliga attack take on the champs and the day is closed out when Leicester tangle with Burnley.

Monday brings an interesting contrast in fixtures. One to bore us and hopefully one to entertain us. The Villains play host to Sheffield Utd in the opening game in a likely snoozefest, but hopefully Wolves playing City makes up for it in the late game.

The games in full…

  1. Guys I think I’ll wildcard tonight before prices rise. Need yer help please. Team A or B?

  2. KBD bandwagon seems like it’s going to leave no one behind, had to sacrifice Jimenez, DCL, and TAA to fit him into my team. This is how it looks now, what do you guys think?

I could potentially downgrade Zaha to Podence, which would give me some Wolves attack for their nice fixtures, and could use the funds to do Bamford >> DCL, or Van Dijk >> TAA and switch my goalkeepers to Patricio and a non starter.

    • Looking good Veer. I’d keep Zaha for sure

    • This is a really good looking team, is this a WC?

    • Thank you lads, yes I am on my WC. Will probably change my mind 10 times before the deadline :hippo:
Would you rather have James or Saiss in defence?

      • Saiss for me. Kepa is a liability.

        • I’ve got both lol.

        • He definitely is, though there is a good chance James could produce attacking returns against West Brom, plus Chelsea’s defence should become more solid with Mendy being signed and their new signings being eased in

        • I agree with all that, Veer. But atm, Kepa is still there :laugh2:
Also, with Silva, Chilwell and Azpi around there might be a bit of rotation at some point.

        • Alright I’m convinced, bringing in Saiss :biggun:

        • Go with your hunch! And if you do end up with Saiss, just don’t keep me accountable for it :laugh2: :drinks:

  3. what to do with Bruno

    • not meant to post that. I’m having trouble uploading my screenshot onto the post!!

    • I need more context but in general keep him if you are not on WC.

      • Team
        Mc carthy
        TAA w. Pieters ayling justin
        Salah kdb bruno st max
        Werner Mitrivic.
        Adams stephens vinaigre

        thought of Bruno to Son
Why won’t my screenshot upload to this post ??/

        • Can you afford Bruno >> Son and St max >> Rodríguez?

  4. Hi all this is where I am with my wildcard so far. I want kdb but am willing to wait for now.
Have 0.2 in the bank. Please feel free to rip it up lol

    • I am sure you know that but the only concern is lack of MC and Manchester United cover. Apart from that, looks good and can’t find anything else to pick on.

      • Thanks Tornado. It’s either KDB or Kane. Both in good form but I think Kane’s fixture might just edge it….still there is time to tinker lol

        • I’d prefer KDB (extra point per goal, City will probably get more penalties, point for CS, bonus magnet, playing for the better team) but it’s a personal preference. Both great optionssmile

    • Looks very well balanced, though I would think about trying to get a Pool defender in there, especially since you’re doubling up on both Wolves and Leicester defence

You could end up deeply regretting not getting KBD when you had your WC active, though it would force you to switch up a lot of players to afford him. I’m debating the same thing myself, though in my current draft I’ve decided to have him

      • Hey Veer thanks for the feedback. I may drop Patricio to Ryan and Martinez. But in terms of pool defence I have thought that and may tinker.
It’s hard Kane v KDB. Both in good form. Kane slightly better fixtures

    • I’d get KDB in for Kane for sure. I would not want double Spurs attack even though it paid off this week

  5. Okay then! This disastrous (for me) GW is behind us and I am still 50/50 whether I should use my WC hah
It’s probably my 3rd/4th post about it, I apologise for keep asking the same, but I genuinely cannot make my mind up.
This is my current team and I will post my latest WC draft below.
    Thoughts?

    • Latest WC draft…

      • I like this team, I hope Brewster gets a move away from Liverpool.

        • Thanks, Mr Go! Yeah, me too. He is a good player and he deserves to play more. Palace and Sheffield United amongst the teams interested.

      • Nice team tornado. Is dunne nailed on now?

        • Cheers, Neilos! I don’t think so but seems like he is a good bench fodder. Do you think I should WC? smile

        • Looks good to me. Any love for Jiminez and James Rodriguez?

        • Lots of love for both , especially for Jimmy! He was in my team almost the entire last season. Unfortunately, can’t find the cash to fit them in.

        • Werner to Jimi?

        • Not before WBA, surely?!

        • Jimi has nice fixtures and is tried and trusted. I did have Werner but moved him out in my wildcard. Your call though

  6. Is it a 3 match ban for Egan? Was it a straight red?

    • It was a straight red. He is suspended until 3rd of October.
