And so we are back… and straight into the madness of Christmas week FPL-stylie. We may have a gameweek fewer than normal this time around but it is no less hectic with the small matter of 30 games in 11 days, with another added on for a DGW19 on the 12th.
Now we appreciate that we have just had an extended break with the World Cup but this is such a busy time for many personally, and the gameweeks often literally run into one another, so you will have to fend for yourselves a bit for the next couple of weeks. The deadlines are as follows:
GW17 11am Monday 26th December
GW18 6.15pm Friday 30th December
GW19 4pm Monday 2nd January

Faes is really unlucky today……..2 own goals and kind of in a rubbish way.

Looks like he was ‘disciplined’ only for 45 mins.
Rushford passed because of disciplinary reasons. Meaning he felt like the goat and started behaving like it? Maybe missing a training? A talk. Whatever. Ten Hag won’t have it… not even for a player in form.
Or who is a national hero, in promoting better nutrition amongst shcoolchildren, as well as enlarging the scope of free school meals!

This is my set-up for GW19!
I have £2.3m ITB, I am thinking about Paterson to Fulham DEF for the DGW on the FT.
I am not sure who to bench, I have put Salah on the bench for Andreas on the basis of the DGW and on current form Liverpool away to Brentford this is going to be a tough game for them, I do have Bench Boost left to play but I don’t know if it’s worth it.
OK, DGW 19 starts in two days.
2 FT and 0.4 ITB
Planning to replace KDB with Mount for one GW only and reverse afterwards. Mitro and Cucu will come in for Darwin and James with a hit.
Any other ideas?
Team looks fine, yes on the Dawin > Mitro and James > Cuco.
I don’t see the KdB > Mount for one GW then reversing the next GW, look at my GW19 team in the post above, I have the same GK’s as you and am playing Arriza over Ward but am wanting a Fulham DEF, I don’t think Chelsea are going to get much at home to Man City or away to Fulham.
I don’t think Ward or Arriza will get a clean sheet at all, and Chelsea will only have a chance to score against Fulham, I think I will get more points from a Fulham DEF in a DGW over my main DEF, White, Cancello & Trippier.
I know I have said I am really thinking about benching Salah (my post above) but if you want to drop KdB then why not Salah for the longer-term replacing Darwin?
I did have both KdB and Salah but dropped KdB to Rashford to allow me to bring in Kane.
Your current team is very close to mine, and yes doing KdB > Salah & Darwin > Mitro would be even closer.
Terminator, the reason for the reverse KDB↔Mount is because City have DGW20. As for Salah, I am not that pushed. You are right to bench him against Brentford, these two have played each other only twice ending in one win and one draw for pool with just 3 goals scored. About Chelsea vs Man City, they have played 50 times with 27 wins for the former. I think there will be goals in this game from both sides, although City kept CS in the last two meetings. And yes, we’ll need the United boys vs Bournemouth. They have won with minimum 2 up to 5 goals in each of the last 4 games.
