And so we are back… and straight into the madness of Christmas week FPL-stylie. We may have a gameweek fewer than normal this time around but it is no less hectic with the small matter of 30 games in 11 days, with another added on for a DGW19 on the 12th.
Now we appreciate that we have just had an extended break with the World Cup but this is such a busy time for many personally, and the gameweeks often literally run into one another, so you will have to fend for yourselves a bit for the next couple of weeks. The deadlines are as follows:
GW17 11am Monday 26th December
GW18 6.15pm Friday 30th December
GW19 4pm Monday 2nd January

Bit confused! Feel like I’m going into this gw a bit ‘dgw’er light’, but at the same time I’m not sure that anyone from Chelsea or Fulham will outscore the single gw’ers that I already have!?
James is the obvious problem…change to Cucurella/Thiago maybe!?….although double Chelsea defence against teams that will likely score!?….and to bench who??
Also, with the other dgws looming, this transfer will most likely equate to a -4pt hit down the line …should I just save it and go with just Kepa as a dgw’er or do you think any transfers would be worth doing?

There are 3 players – Mount, Havertz and Mitrovic whom can be picked up. …and then there is James. Objectively thinking, you do not have any FWD spot open. James is a sell. May be Rodrigo to Mount and optionally James to Cucurella (for 4 ph). But then you have to bench Saliba possibly. Not sure if Cucurella/Thiago really helps long term.
For that team, I personally will do Rodrigo to Mount just to take a punt on a DGW attack. Selling James will be deferred by 1 more week and see if any new DGW/BGW announcement comes.
After seeing 70 minutes of game, feels like none is worth to be picked.
Totally agree. There is no point getting excited about this DGW.
If they only managed 1-1 draw vs Forest, what are the chances against City, they will eat them for breakfast. Mitro looks the only option, he already scored against Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool and can do it to Chelsea.
….unless he gets a yellow against Leicester and misses the Chelsea game!? Again, I think I’d rather keep Nunez personally!
How many DGW’ers are you going with? Would you go Cucurella over playing Saliba?

Hey GM cheers for the comments….think I’m leaning towards no one too! Was considering Mount (3G 3A in 1191min) for Rodrigo (9G 1A in 1038min) but with those stats I think I prefer the 1 game vs WHM than Mounts DGW!
Still 50/50 on Cucurella but again Saliba could outscore him still so not sure worth it for 1 gw!?

Thoughts on Cucurella vs Shaw to replace Reece James?

I’m kind of liking Shaw’s 9points off the bench to replace the absent Cancelo, so I would go with the latter. You however, may be wanting to get in a double game-weeker for next week? If that spot has become your ‘mobile’ player, then do it and spin the dice on Cucu. He may do alright in one of the games and get 2 pts in the other.
