And so we are back… and straight into the madness of Christmas week FPL-stylie. We may have a gameweek fewer than normal this time around but it is no less hectic with the small matter of 30 games in 11 days, with another added on for a DGW19 on the 12th.
Now we appreciate that we have just had an extended break with the World Cup but this is such a busy time for many personally, and the gameweeks often literally run into one another, so you will have to fend for yourselves a bit for the next couple of weeks. The deadlines are as follows:
GW17 11am Monday 26th December
GW18 6.15pm Friday 30th December
GW19 4pm Monday 2nd January

A) keep James and play white and have 2ft for gw19
B) James to Shaw. Thinking Shaw more likely to get a clean sheet that white
It is up to you, I think playing White is okay, depends if you want to hold onto James until he comes back or sell before a price drop.
No point in keeping the FT until next GW so you have 2FT if one of those will be James anyway, may as well drop him now on this FT.
Unless it’s to assess how Chelsea perform in his absence and then decide on a defender who can replace James. But true enough if you’ve already decided who it’s going to be! (Logically 1 FT this week + 1 FT next week is the same thing as 2FT next week! 😉 )
Want to get rid of Foden and James.
1. Roll transfer and get rid of both next round
2. Swap Foden for Mount/Saka/JWP/Almiron?
Foden to Almiron makes sense this week he seems not to be be able to blank .
Sounds good, Almirón is who I have so would go for him for Foden.
If you are going to keep this week’s FT only to have 2FT next GW and you are going to use one on James anyway, may as well use you FT this GW to drop him.
Bring in Mitro for Darwin or Salah for KDB? Or roll?
Are Shaw and Walker likely to start?

Think KDB is ok…don’t trust Darwin. Hopefully he takes his chances this week.
I did Darwin to Mitro yesterday, I don’t know if that helps, also Fulham has a DGW coming up.
I am thinking about it, just concerned with the 4 YC.

Mitro is home playing Southampton, yes anything could happen, but likely will be fine, the game he’s likely to miss would be the Chelsea game where he would maybe be more limited to score, that is what I was thinking.
Has Walker lost his place?

Or just start White & Roll?
Or start Walker and have White first sub just in case?

If Walker does play I don’t know if it will be 90mins it could be unlikely, but White will play for 90mins (unless carded or injured).
It’s a difficult one, both you think should get a clean sheet, I think the safest option is to play White tbh.
Would just start white and save the transfer, then gw19 you could look to move walker on for a dgw player
