Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!
To help you decide or just confuse you a bit more, we have asked 3 of our writers to pass judgment on what players you would do well to pick up and what players are better left out of the fray. We hope this is a simple straight forward formula that can assist you in your decision making as we ride out this International Break. I avoided including players like Siggy, Di Maria or Costa as there is really no point. There seems to be overwhelming consensus on these cats.
Grab – You need this player on your squad. On the Def/Keeper categories if they select Grab, they will give us a name or two from said team. Eg. Grab De-Gea
Avoid – It’s a trap don’t get suckered in.
Bore off – If you have him play him, if you don’t have him don’t bother getting him. Really not worth the extra effort.
Then again they may just go off piste and ramble regardless!

Thanks guys this article is my absolute favourite,no fluff, just facts,it gives you a great insight!
This international break is driving me nuts! The initial plan was to wildcard this week but I decided to hold as I would only make some 3 or 4 major changes to the team, mainly at the back.
I’ve Rodwell, Chester, Ferdinand and Rafael as the players I really have to ditch and even if I think Rodwell should be my first priority I’m leaning to keep him for another week and use my FT in a defender (Azpi, Mangala or Mert) as the midfielder I’m planning to bring in is Chadli who will play at City.
Here are my planned transfers:
GW8 – Chester to Azpi/Mangala/Mertesacker – Play 4-3-3
GW9 – Rodwell to Chadli and Rafael to Chambers (-4) – I will avoid this it IF Chadli’s price is still 6,3 which is not very much likely to happen.
Does this sound like the way to go? Any help much appreciated guys,
Hi Albertini, well thought out plan. Rodwell out was my initial reaction too but as you say if you’re dead set on Chadli then wait yes. I’d avoid that -4 if at all possible as they’re not the most exciting transfers to be wasting -4 on. Maybe structure this 1st one to give a bit of flexibility to avoid it if possible? Could you just do Rafael as the first one?
Cheers Init. I could do Rafael first but I’d have to play Ferdinand (LIV) or Chester (ars) instead… or Marney (WHU) if already fit. Do you reckon it would be better?
I see you not sold on Chadli, right? Do you have any other suggestion? I think he’s a good shout with Spurs fixtures from Gw9
Chadli is a good shout mate with those fixtures as you say. Wasn’t sure on the immediate fixtures of those others so again as you say it makes more sense to do it that way round. Go for it!
Cheers Init.
Thanks guys
My team:
Krul, McCarthy
Duff, Wisdom, wilson, Taylor, Hutton
Siggy, Fabregas, sterling, Di Maria, Boyd
Welbeck, Aguero, Costa
I have 2.9 million in the bank. I would like Falcao instead of Welbeck but can’t afford that. Sensible choice I think is Baines. Probably for Wilson but I might be able to fo Duff.
Help please
Smash I wouldn’t sweat it on the Falcao thing, Welbeck has a good little run of fixtures (Hull, Sunderland, Burnley) whereas Falcao has a much much tougher run (WBA, Chelsea, Man City).
Baines has good ones too (Villa, Burnley, Swansea) so that’s the way to go I feel.
