Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017-18 Brutal Honesty

BRUTAL. HONESTY. We are past the half way stage, and have a bit of of a break now, so we thought it pertinent to check back in with a few old hands to see how their seasons are going and what their thoughts are on both the fare so far and how they think things will pan out ahead. Given the title, we have chosen them carefully –

In trap No.1 is Mr Brutal himself. Mito. It’s practically his middle name. If anyone ever needs a ‘pick me up’ during a particularly dire GW then be sure to follow us on twitter… Mito will be on hand to drive that stake right the way through. And then twist it.

In trap No.2 is Mr Honesty. You get what you see with Cookie. He’s been there, seen it and done it all. And fell asleep at most points along the way.

In trap No.3… Oh, hang on, there were only two words in the title. We probably require some insignificant blandness then. Maybe A Lump Of Coal?! Poor old Kop. Once christened, and never twice shy. He accepted the nickname without a blink of an eye, which probably says it all!

And so without any further ado, they are all seated and ready to answer our probing questions. We warmly welcome our guest stars. And a Lump Of Coal.

HEALTH WARNING – The questions are brutal, hopefully the answers will be honest….

Nice article guys! And bit delayed but special thanks to GP & Cookie for giving the thumbs up to use my free hit last gw. Turns out to be a pretty decent gw for me. Now just need to crack my head on how to fit the “must-have” players especially Alonso.

    Hi all,

Got 1FT and nothing in the bank. I really want Aguero, and fine three Spurs overkill. Would also like City/Chelsea defence, but not really thinking about the WC just yet.

Reckon binning Kane is too risky? Their fixtures aren’t that great to be honest. Obviously I will wait on what happens to Firmino, but not sure how else I could bring in Aguero. Son to Lingard or Arnautovic to Lingard looks an attractive option too.

      Hey AT.

If you don’t have the nerve to sell Kane for Kun then I’d say you will have to lose Son and Vertoghen for the funds to upgrade Frimino or Vardy. If you went Son-Lingard what would you have left to buy a defender if you sold Vert?

      • AT says:

Cheers Robbo. I’m not sure I do to be honest – he doesn’t have great fixtures but he can be very explosive. I’d have £7.8m in the bank if I ditched Vert. I’d have to get about a £4.8m ish defender to upgrade Firmino, and a £4.5m ish one to upgrade Vardy. Hmm…
