Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017-18 Part 2
Part two of our GABO series sees three more of our writing team come to the party and attempt to tackle the same questions that Mito, Init and Kop answered. Again, they need little introduction as all three are very well known to you all as they are always seen on site commenting, helping or advising. Or recommending Dusan Tadic or Aaron Mooy.
Leading the pack is Gallant Pioneer. GP, as he is more commonly known to us is having the season of his life and is set fair for his best ever FPL ranking. Yet he is always willing to help others and write when called upon. Oh. And he loves Dusan Tadic.
Rosco is one of our resident Geordies but is most loved for his gravatar of Flash from Dukes of Hazard. He’s a great lad, offers advice to all who ask and has a great footballing brain… for a Newcastle fan. But we love him most because of Flash. You will later too, one of those images you will never get of your mind again… two men in a shower with a dog. And another sat on a chair watching. Or something along those lines. Read on…
Bringing up the rear is Liverpool fan (how ironic) Matt. Despite some strange Captain recommendations, Matt is another consistent performer and like GP, could well be on course for a best ever FPL ranking.
Let’s get down to business and see what today’s panel have in store for us…

Grab, Avoid Part 2. Three Men and a Dog………
I think those grey clouds should be covering a lot more to be honest!
I wonder where they got them cushions?
Many thanks fellas, appreciate all the knowledge being shared.
Matt, we appreciate you giving it a go also, good effort buddy. 😉
Ohhhh
Not sure on what to do this week, I have 2FT and 0.4m itb, any ideas?
See how the cup games go at the weekend, hold off on any moves or thoughts till then!
Otamendi to VVD jumps out to me there Melon. Couple of reasons – Liverpool’s fixtures are much better from a defensive POV than City’s for the next two and also that then gives you another BGW31 body. The rest looks great.
This is probably your best move I think Melon.
3 men and dog, there’s a movie in that I’m sure 😉
Who’s playing who? Matt strikes me as a Danny DeVito type I’ll ring John Holmes for my walk on part now 😉
Well done fellas, fascinating. GP has the best rank out of all of us, yet doesn’t plan and doesn’t know what to do, he admits!
Love Flash.
I’ll be honest, I didn’t know they had song about him.

Morning Cookie
Hand on heart, I don’t have a plan for these chips.
I only used the TC because it was Kane and two matches. The only things I know now is that I’m not going to rush anything from here on in. Transfers on a Friday and dont be dazzled by the shiny lights of DGWs from teams who aren’t that dazzling.
Morning fella,
Gutted I used the TC on Kane too.
I think you have the right attitude approaching the last 10 weeks or so – don’t get blinded by the rank and keep doing what you’re doing. Great to see mate – so well deserved.
Thank you mate.
GP is hiding something for sure With that rank and no planning hmm
Also I have Sterling and Otta so will get rid of either in this week so should I get VVD or Mane?
Already have Salah and Firmino so Mane might be overkill but they have nice fixtures and in form too so it’s VVD or Mane too choose from! Any thoughts/suggestions?
Snookie
I’ve had the big players from the start and some of the others at just the right time.
I’m not laying plans out weeks in advance. The only premeditated one was Joe Allen in lieu of GW31 when I was looking for a cheap Lingard replacement anyway.
It’d be VVD for me there Snookie. Sterling just been too consistent to lose. The potential difference between the two pairs compared should be greater between VVD and Ota over the next few weeks than between Sterling and Mane.
