Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017-18 Part 2

Part two of our GABO series sees three more of our writing team come to the party and attempt to tackle the same questions that Mito, Init and Kop answered. Again, they need little introduction as all three are very well known to you all as they are always seen on site commenting, helping or advising. Or recommending Dusan Tadic or Aaron Mooy.

Leading the pack is Gallant Pioneer. GP, as he is more commonly known to us is having the season of his life and is set fair for his best ever FPL ranking. Yet he is always willing to help others and write when called upon. Oh. And he loves Dusan Tadic.

Rosco is one of our resident Geordies but is most loved for his gravatar of Flash from Dukes of Hazard. He’s a great lad, offers advice to all who ask and has a great footballing brain… for a Newcastle fan. But we love him most because of Flash. You will later too, one of those images you will never get of your mind again… two men in a shower with a dog. And another sat on a chair watching. Or something along those lines. Read on…

Bringing up the rear is Liverpool fan (how ironic) Matt. Despite some strange Captain recommendations, Matt is another consistent performer and like GP, could well be on course for a best ever FPL ranking.

Let’s get down to business and see what today’s panel have in store for us…

All this love for the Liverpool defence. I can hear the moaning already…”what was I thinking buying a Liverpool defender”…”FFS, VVD is nothing but a troll”. smile

    Eagle says:

Hi guys. Who should i transfer out first to bring in VVD? Otamendi or Christensen?

      DMC says:

Well Ota has worse fixtures and may or not suffer the Pep rotation, whereas Christensen is guaranteed to play 57m. Tough one! smile
Seriously though, if you believe Christensen plays (and there’s no reason not too) perhaps keep him given Ota’s fixtures.

      Mr Bean says:

Depends on whether City draw on Monday or not.

Would rather keep Otamendi with Chelsea’s fixtures/form but if he has no game this week, may be best to rid of him.

Hi Eagle, I was looking at a similar situation last night (Alonso though) and I’d decided I’d rather ditch Ota. Unfortunately I won’t be as that doesn’t work alongside my other move so I’ll be keeping him! It’s a close one either way though as neither has great games upcoming.

Hello chaps, thanks for the read! Always fun to get these articles in the int/FA break weekends!
Thinking Ota & Ox -> VVD & Shaq. How’s that sound? I’m exact on funds with my 2 fts, so I’m watching FFF price change predictor pretty religiously, which is saying something for me smile

    Pancho says:

Is there a chance of City (or anyone) having 3 DGWs between now and GW38? When is the Carabao Cup Final being played? Would it possibly interfere with a GW?

    • 12.1
      Mr Bean says:

Carabao cup final is next weekend, which has meant City vs Arsenal is pushed back to the following Thursday.

If City draw with Wigan on Monday, they would have 3 DGW’s if they stayed in the Champions League and FA Cup beyond this. Somebody suggested one of these could be as early as GW30 as GW34 and GW37 are the only other free weeks.

Otherwise, triple GW37 or DGW38 maybe?

      • Pancho says:

Thanks Bean! Been out of the loop and I’ve been wondering why that match is so late in the week. TC on Kun in 30 where one opponent is Stoke would be fantastic and then use FH chip in a full DGW would give 2 Huge DGWs!
