Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017-18
The International break gives us all the first opportunity to sit back and assess how we have fared so far. For some it’s a time of quiet reflection, for others it’s time for a Wildcard! Either way it’s a nervous time for fantasy managers as they wait and see if their stars return in one piece from their journeys far and wide. This particular break also sees the transfer window close so much can change, players will be added, some will be waved goodbye. We’ve decided to take a bit of a break ourselves for a few days but before we do we have asked a few of our regular writers to reflect on their own seasons so far, their fantasy plans and also their take on the season in general. Between them Cookie, Mito and Kop have had a good degree of success in fantasy games in the past. Now ok, that may be in Fantasy Cycling, Fantasy MLS and Fantasy NFL but it all still counts yeah? Yeah? No?! Well ok, Mito and Cookie have anyway. Kop just seems to enjoy playing these days. But as long as he’s happy, we’re happy, and all that… Joking aside, these lot follow football day in, day out and you’d be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable or dedicated trio. So, let’s go see how their Fantasy PL seasons are going…

I’m in
Good be good business for us:
*Could!
Is he rubbish then DMC?!
Well he has a good cross in him. With the right manager and consistent time of play he may well settle in that defense and if so, with a fair price of 4.5, he could be a good FPL asset.
Eden Hazard is starting for Belgium tonight.
And has scored the 6th goal and assisted the 7th. Lukaku with a hattrick (including one penalty) and KDB with an assist. Nothing comparable to Meunier’s 3 goals and 3 assists. It was basically a training session though vs Gibraltar.
So….. Arsenal bid up for Lemar. Giroud, Laca & Kos went to his room to talk him into and failed by all accounts as he wants to play Champions League!!
Which means Alexis stays at Arsenal as they won’t sell him without having a replacement on board!
But the evening is not over yet!
The sooner it’s over the better. This becomes more & more tedious every year.
It doesn’t help that we’re not going to sign a centre back!
There are other centre backs in the world other than VVD!!
I know that and you know that, but…
Not if your Liverpool
Looks like you’re keeping Coutinho anyway.
That’ll be an interesting one for the fans to deal with!
Fans are fickle!
Coutinho has dropped in price as well
Let’s hope Coutinho can play CB then. Probably be better than Lovren still…
And rightly so. He has scored two tonight vs Holland so yeah he does belong in CL. Arsenal will experience what Utd and Liverpool have in the last couple of years where good players don’t want to join them for the lack of CL.
This must be the scorer Init was looking for
Is that it? Really?! Never even heard of him, and we played them last week! They must really rate Sandro. To be fair, as a fan looking on from afar, I really trust this scout we have – the bloke we nicked from Leicester. Don’t think we’ve made a bad signing since he came on board.
I don’t know if that’s that regarding Vardy but I see that Adrien Silva is heading to Leicester with Slimani doing the reverse path. If that’s confirmed, Vardy is staying put I guess.
Had little hope of getting Vardy with Drinky and Mahrez seemingly offski. They can explain one or two but not all three.
Nakhi Wells to Burnley from Hudds is a strange one ? He wasn’t good enough in the championship and how many strikers do Burnley need ???
