Grab, Avoid or Bore off!

Welcome to our second installment of Grab, Avoid or Bore off for the 2015-16 season. For those new to the site, it is a simple question and answer segment that covers everything from the serious to the absurd. So why do we call it that? Tradition, is the easy answer as we basically have veered so far off course that it barely has any resemblance to the original format. Thanks to our members for some of the ideas on the questions, we tried to include most of them or some semblance of them. Well enough of the small talk from me, let’s see what the girls have to say about a number of topics ranging from FPL dilemmas to who is cuter?

    FC Sanchez says:

Meanwhile Spanish media says Silva has only twisted his ankle so not too serious for him hopefully!

Evening lads! With the Ageruo injury just wanted to get your thoughts on Kun –> Bony till he returns?? With all the injuries this international break my previous plan of Haz and Gomis out for Sanchez and Pelle has kind of gone out the window haha

Don’t think I’ll make the change just yet just want to know if I’m on the right track.

      TheDreamers says:

Very good move on paper – but Bony hasn’t essentially pulled up trees. Thinking the obvious might be Pelle.

I’d still rather have Sanchez and Pelle. Gomis is ‘out of fashion’ but I’d be happy enough to give him Stoke and Villa.

      MattX says:

Dreamers – ye I feel the same way but I think with Kun out for 8 weeks he might feel he can actually have a run in the team and build a bit of confidence.

InIt – so would I but don’t really want an injured player sitting on my bench for 2 months especially a striker you know?

      • inittowinit says:

Sorry Matt, I’ll clarify that. I meant Kun and Haz out for Sanchez and Pelle and leave Gomis in for the next 2 which are good in their favour.

        • MattX says:

Oh now I get what you mean smile I actually really like those moves think I’ll go for that and leave the acces cash to do Gomis to Kun when he returns ( hopefully ) can his price drop now or has it been frozen??

        • inittowinit says:

I think (??!!!, old rules) he can drop away until he’s unflagged and then he’s price protected for 8 days. That’s certainly how it was previously. I’d move him on and forget about him for the time being. Early prognosis suggests it’s fairly bad and I’m seeing anywhere between 4 & 8 weeks reported so that’s too long to hold his excess funds for me. Do those moves or whatever others you fancy instead for now but also I wouldn’t be shy about spreading that cash on future moves. If it’s as bad a lay off as the worst case scenario then it’s almost into the 2nd WC period or at the very least it’ll give us a good few weeks notice to plan ahead and accommodate him back in.

        • MattX says:

Cheers Init. I’ll do those transfers now. I still have my 1st WC planned on using it when the fixtures get congested around Christmas. Or should I use it now??

        • inittowinit says:

I wouldn’t do a thing right now. Wait out the break. Recipe for disaster otherwise.

        • MattX says:

Very true. The last few days have been crazy enough. Cheers mate

      The B says:

I would just do Aguero > Pelle here. Both Sterling and Hazard have a good fixture this GW, so there is some intensive to keep them both.

Can you guys put these players in order of preference in your team if you can buy them in now or keep in your team (regardless of price).

I don’t know why but ever since I found out Klopp was joining Liverpool. I have had a feeling to transfer in Firmino in.

    Anyone else? lol

    niloh says:

    Hey guys,

So terrible news on Aguero. I already used my free transfer to get kdb in for pedro. So now my strikers are Aguero, pelle and vardy. I guess I’ll have to take a hit to get rid of Aguero. Any recommendations? I quite like Sturridge but he seems very risky with a new manager and he’s so fragile. I guess it comes down to either Sturridge, martial or bony? Any advice?

    nishant says:

“I think I’ll be a month without playing,” Agüero told TyC Sports. “I’ll go the AFA [Argentinian Football Association] national team compound to carry on with treatment. To recover from the tear I’ll surely need a month, although it will depend how it evolves.”Agüero, clearly out of Tuesday’s second qualifier away to Paraguay in Asunción, looks likely also to miss next month’s home match against Brazil.“I’d been playing very frequently and was in doubt [for Thursday’s match] until the last minute but as a player you always want to be there and never know what can happen,” Agüero added.
