Grab, Avoid or Bore off!

Welcome to our second installment of Grab, Avoid or Bore off for the 2015-16 season. For those new to the site, it is a simple question and answer segment that covers everything from the serious to the absurd. So why do we call it that? Tradition, is the easy answer as we basically have veered so far off course that it barely has any resemblance to the original format. Thanks to our members for some of the ideas on the questions, we tried to include most of them or some semblance of them. Well enough of the small talk from me, let’s see what the girls have to say about a number of topics ranging from FPL dilemmas to who is cuter?

Talk about the perfect week for playing your WC…shame mine’s already gone!

I’ve got to be honest though, I’m not minding the injuries hitting my squad right now as it’s punishing those cursed early transferers/hit-takers that mess with prices before a GW has even ended!

    Schadenfreude at its best smile

Evening peeps. I see that Aleksandar’s had a busy night! Assisted, got injured, only *then* to be sent off.

If you have Kolarov, Silva, Aguero with no WC then these really are ridiculous times. KDB instead of Silva for me thankfully. Cathcart also scored for Northern Ireland… why save that for you country?! Prick… 😉

    Hey guys,
My current squad is Cech (Hennessy)
    Cedric, Kolarov, Dawson (Huth, Richards)
    Sanchez, Mahrez, Pedro, Mata (Wanyama)
    Aguero, Sakho, Vardy.
Have 0.2 itb, 1FT and my wildcard. Do I need to wildcard yet? Have a lot of deadwood in Wanyama, Huth and Richards and even Pedro, and now with Kolarov and Aguero injured its looking like I’ll have to wildcard?

No WC needed here….u could just do aguero to Pelle and wait for further news on kolarov, if he is injured then just play huth(pelle vs huth, someone is bound to get points)…..i would be tempted to give pedro one last chance vs a very shaky Aston villa defence, but if you are still concerned then I would just swap him for KdB.

Teams looking a bit worse for wear.
Not sure if I should wildcard or just take 4 points for aguero-> sturridge, kolarov -> monreal.

    My team is
    Ruddy, butland
    Kolarov, azpi, Evans, cedric, huth
    Sterling, payet, mahrez, mane, Sinclair
    Aguero, vardy, martial

1 ft and 0.6 in the bank

The Newcastle United and Netherlands goalkeeper admits he is distraught at being ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury picked up on international duty

Tim Krul described himself as “devastated” after the Newcastle United goalkeeper was ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The 27-year-old ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during Netherlands’ 2-1 win over Kazakhstan in Euro 2016 qualifying on Saturday.

Krul admitted the news confirmed his worst fears and is saddened not to be able to help Newcastle turn around what has been a dismal season to date.

“I’m devastated the scan has confirmed my biggest fear that I have torn my knee cruciate playing for Holland in the game vs Kazakhstan last night,” he said in a message posted on his official Twitter account on Sunday.

“My recovery and hard work starts now to fully recover.

“I’m devastated I can’t play a part on the pitch to help the team turn this season around. I still believe this club can and should be up there with the top teams.”

Danny Blind has called Kenneth Vermeer and Maarten Stekelenburg into his squad for the decisive final qualifier with the Czech Republic on Tuesday, with both Krul and Jasper Cillessen unfit to play.

Newcastle, meanwhile, have recalled Freddie Woodman from a loan spell with League Two Crawley Town following Krul’s injury.
