Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!

Grab, Avoid or Bore off!

Welcome to another installment of Grab, Avoid or Bore off for the 2015-16 season. As always we will tackle some of the most unimportant questions in FPL and in life in general. The 3 Amigos are back for another round of very difficult questioning and the occasional FPL question. Will Kun come straight in? Is Mertesacker slower than a dead turtle? Does Ozil see better at night? Will Miss Colombia be given a crown for the embarrassment they caused her? WoW! I am dying to see the answers, so let’s get to it and see what our 3 wise men have in store for us.

[highlight_yellow]This Bore Off was completed a couple of days before GW18, so if some of the questions seem a tad late, that is the reason.[/highlight_yellow]BO 1BO 2BO 3BO 4BO 5BO 6BO 7bore off desc

  1. Evening all, would you lose Kun, Kane or Lukaku to bring in Giroud, or would you stick with the 3 i have ?

    • I’d stick Elle. Fairly sure (as much as you can be this week) that all 3 of those start. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if Giroud got a rest. Seem to remember last time Arsenal came a bit unstuck he was pulled for the next game or two just to freshen up.

  2. Anyone any idea why Ben Davies has suddenly got the last 2 games? Not complaining of course just wondering if there’s a reason why that has happened that I’ve missed. Could do with him getting a 3rd tomorrow and 2 straight clean sheets with him back so I’m guessing he may stay in.

    • I think Rose was injured but he’s back fit now, guess Poch is just keeping him in there as he is playing well

    • I think he should be in the team more. Rose is shite. No idea why he’s now in though, maybe because Rose is shite laugh

  3. Options options, lots of options! Which would you say is best?
    A- Cedric to Dier
    B- De Gea to Butland
    C- Deulofeu to Walcott
    D- Kane/ Lukaku to Giroud

      • Elle
Yeah was liking this option the most, I think if i take in Walcott I will cap him. Cheers!

    • I would lose Cedric. He’s a bit of a nightmare anyway so how about someone like Pieters or Wollschied?

      • My defenders have good fixtures this week (barring rotation), so think I will follow through with an attacking option. Will probably do one of these moves next week, especially as I have no Stoke defenders.

    • Obertan to Walcott.

      • Brooky
Would do this, only thing is it eats into all my funds and Deulofeu move means I can still afford kun (just) . Will look at taking a fifth mid that plays over the next few weeks, alli a good option I think.

    • C for me. Just did similar. Could be rested but I doubt it given their lack of options but who knows and ANY transfer this week comes with a risk in that respect. Have a sneaky suspicion he may actually get the forward spot though with Giroud given a breather which would be a bonus! Worth the risk I think.

      • Agree on the transfer, nothing is guaranteed in tomorrow’s games, besides maybe some unexpected results! You capping wally or going with a “safer” option such as lukaku?

        • Straight in two footed with Wally mate!

        • Typing the words “two-footed” in a sentence with Wally might actually injure him. Be careful 😉

        • Looked around a bit earlier at scores from some players from the ‘top teams’ and what stood out was that they were invariably all against Bouremouth! Can’t remember who exactly now but certainly Spurs, Man City, Everton and West Ham players stood out as getting their biggest hauls against them. Think they do ok against similar ish mid to lower table teams but have a capacity to capitulate against the stronger ones. Here’s hoping anyway! #goonerforaday laugh

        • That’s a fair point actually, and makes the Wally move a bit more interesting. Still dodgy though but if he gets the striker role you could be well in.

  4. Which two to bench? Ward, Moreno, Bellerin, Bertrand, Kolarov

  5. Deulofeu/Smalling to Walcott/Nyom for a -4pts ?

    • Yes assuming you need to one to fund the other

    • Probably not for a -4 Elle. Anyone else other than Nyom you could get? Just did Wally myself but as I say he carries a risk so happy to ride it for free with a bench to back up but wouldn’t be doing it for a hit unless he was accompanied by a defender with a 70/30 or better chance of covering the hit which Nyom isn’t at all.

      • Init, no. Have no funds so would only have 4.8 for a defender. Nyom would go with Bellerin, Ward, Kolarov and Richards. At least he plays.

        • Hi Elle,

If you want to save a bit of dosh. Ake is a cheaper option. He didn’t play against Chelsea as part of the loan deal. Nailed on and attacking.

    • I wouldn’t, no. Defo bin Smalling though. United are on the slide.

  6. Evening all

Was thinking of doing Barkley to Walcott?

    What do you think

    • I wouldn’t. I would try get both if you can. Not easy to say for who with the miss you have but an injury may answer that for you.

      • It would have to be for Ali but I quite fancy keeping him
