Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2019-20
With the resumption of the Premier League, and of course FPL, things are finally back to normal, right? Well, not quite! That said, what is normal these days?
Whilst we have all been diligently following government legislation for what feels like an eternity, football of any description feels like a welcome distraction for some, and others an unnecessary risk. Wherever you sit on that debate we respect your opinion. Whether you’re for or against football without fans matters little, that’s how it’s going to be, so let’s just suck it up and get back to why we’re here; FPL.
Maybe you used a Chip for the DGW that never was, blew your Wildcard preparing for fixtures that didn’t happen, or used your weekly FT’s during the lockdown perfecting your team only for everyone to be given unlimited Free Transfers. Dems the breaks kids.
With unlimited Free Transfers, Chips still to play and a whole host of changes to football that will likely have ramifications for our FPL season finale, we thought what better time to turn to our Amigo’s and see how they plan to see out their season in style before riding off into the sunset… ready to come back again a few weeks later.
Thanks for reading Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!. This article was written by Rosco.

Yeah I really like that. I’d downgrade Stevens to get a better bench player than Ngakia as he’s refusing to sign a new deal so is unlikely to feature.
Great info there Smash – I’ll investigate.
I’ll need to shave some cash elsewhere and just go for my first choice – James Justin of Leicester.
Yeah O’Connell for Stevens should be enough to get you another playing defender
Afternoon all.
Good to be back. Hope you’re all well.
Think I’ll be going close to this team, using a no chip strategy but set up ok for GW31+ onwards.
It’ll leave me with BB and FH in hand.
I don’t think it’s worth using FH or BB for this double as if I use FH I only get 12 DGW players, I’ll be left with a team not set up well for 31 onwards. No point using BB as I don’t have a WC to get out of it (not that I think I’d use it even if I had a WC)
Thoughts?
Sorry, 11 DGW players lol, slip of the finger, giggety.
Looks ok to me.
Cheers GP
Good to see a different strategy. Sterling is also an interesting differential captain pick.
Looks good to me. I’m not sure on Deeney I think there are better options elsewhere for not much more. Cantwell at 4.7 is a classic will a single GW player out score a double in Saka
Cheers all. I did have Traore instead of Saka but having the latter let me upgrade Ayew to Deeney and with Deeney’s fixtures and no Deulofeu, maybe he’ll work out. Thing is I need differentials as my rank is … well, rank!
The lack of KDB is the thing that stands out, but understand looking for differentials.
Stupid question coming up so apologies in advance!! I am sure I still had my wildcard to play how do I confirm I still have this. Only whether or not I have that depends on what I do in terms of using this free wildcard or using my free hit if that makes sense? I can’t find on the site where it would tell me if I still have it or not?
Go through the previously played GWs and see when and whether you used your WC
They’re not showing just now because everyone is on Unlimited Transfers.
Go to your Gameweek History and it details all chips already used.
@Smash
Ozark was fantastic, really enjoyed it! Is Outlander any good?
It’s very different to Ozark. I preferred Ozark. Outlander is more romantic and fantasy based and it has a lot more nudity.
Ok, cheers, not a great fan of fantasy! I’m one of the few who didn’t find GoT particularly good, well the first season was very good, but then it got boring
Yeah maybe not for you then.
Think I’m pretty happy with this. There’s a few punts in here but I’ve got to go with it. Will just wildcard straight after. Bench boost is active
Yeah looks good! Very close to mine, you reckon El Ghazi is better bet than McGinn then?
I saw some stats comparing the two. He’s more attacking. I’m not sure if he’s a great option but he will feature in both. I also read he’s amazing in training so maybe the training ground atmosphere of no fans will suit him
Right, this is some amazing in-depth analysis, thank you!
Hi guys, which Arsenal cheapo do we think is the most likely to feature? Saka, Nketiah, or Martinelli?
I think they all feature. It’s more a case on who will get most minutes. I think Nketiah is slightly ahead of Martinelli with the hatty and the starts in last few games.
Saka has been playing really well at LB but is a midfielder and Tierney and Kolasniac are now both fit so not sure anyone can be sure on that one
I am currently in Nketiah, think they all will play, but perhaps Nketiah and Saka might play a bit more, however more importantly Nketiah just scored a hatty in a friendly so I’m hoping he has gotten a bit of boost out of that and he delivers, it’s a lottery as it’s just one gameweek
*on, definitely not in :big-lol:
