Guess who’s back, back again….

With the FPL season getting closer and closer to starting it is of course time for Bore Off to also kickoff. I have gathered three of my esteemed colleagues: GP of Scottish fantasy fame, Rosco of FPL fame and… Cookie.

I asked for the site members to provide any questions they wanted answering, and did they ever! Some really great stuff was asked and hopefully this edition of Bore Off can provide you with some good answers to said questions. I want to send a special thanks to Smash, Stone Frog, Tornado, Silvers, Chipster and dennisim for providing the bulk of the questions, they basically wrote it for me. smile

  1. How do we think Doherty moving effects Jimenez? Doheryy had 8 assists last season and 7 the season before. Presumably Jimenez was the main beneficiary.

    • Yeah I’m not sure. If they play Traore there it might even help him but yeah surely it does affect Jimenez in a negative way but they could be more attacking so a bit of an unknown

    • Yeah with Jonny out as well. That’s a change at both wing back positions. There’s 2 GWs to view wolves before their 3 – 7 great run of fixtures.

      • Yeah I feel they really want to buy a wing back now, if not then I fee it should affect Jimenez in a negative way, having said that I have Vinagre in my latest draft… smile

  2. A slight tweek to have Salah for GW1 and Martial on the bench. Interesting only 1 of the 3 interviewed predicted the team that won the league by 20pts would win it again! Martial seems good value and could cover Bruno rotating in and out with other premiums.

  4. I don’t know why the prices of players are too high, it makes it difficult to get the quality of players you want

  5. Imagine Timo Werner that just came to epl is already overrated, he might even be a bigger flop than his predecessors

    • Yeah any player that has never played Premier League must be rubbish

      • I take his point though, I recall everyone getting excited about Morata. This sort of fe Le the same although I expect Werner will adapt better given his skill set and background. Bundesliga is probably the closest to EPL in terms of style and competitiveness.

    • Hello chikezon. It is entirely possible that he will be a flop, and I have certainly been disappointed with many untested strikers that I have had in my GW1 team in past seasons. Similarly I have been disappointed in myself for not getting untested strikers in my GW1 team who have exploded onto the scene. Only time will tell whether Werner will win.

  6. I just pray Liverpool defenders keep enough clean sheets this season so we get the value for our money used to acquire them

    • They will chikezon they also get plenty of att points

    • I’ve erected a small temple in my back garden dedicated to TAA and Robertson and genuflect towards its general direction daily. It will be fine.
