Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2020-21

Guess who’s back, back again….

With the FPL season getting closer and closer to starting it is of course time for Bore Off to also kickoff. I have gathered three of my esteemed colleagues: GP of Scottish fantasy fame, Rosco of FPL fame and… Cookie.

I asked for the site members to provide any questions they wanted answering, and did they ever! Some really great stuff was asked and hopefully this edition of Bore Off can provide you with some good answers to said questions. I want to send a special thanks to Smash, Stone Frog, Tornado, Silvers, Chipster and dennisim for providing the bulk of the questions, they basically wrote it for me. smile

Well, without further ado, let us see what the boys had to say.

Thanks for reading Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!. This article was written by Mito21.

  1. Hey lads!
I really enjoy a good GABO and boy, did you deliver! Simultaneously funny and helpful! Awesome stuff as usual! Big thank you for answering my questions as well :worthy: :good:

  2. I’ve made a start… #rmt?!

    • Looks good :laugh2:

    • Looks solid apart from one player that I really don’t like. Remove him now!

    • Looks better than last years effort at this time

      • Hard to believe Ozil did not make the auto select either

    • Looks sound to me.

I think deferring the rest of the transfers until GW2 isn’t the worst tactic. I’m surprised not more are doing that.

  3. Hey hey friends! Excited for the new year, great articles so far smile

Any tips for this team? I am unsure on my defence/gks- really want to get some chelsea coverage there with their fixtures and signings; but at the moment I would only be able to fit in Kepa (don’t say it I know) :///

    Dilemma 1:
    Doherty and Ryan
    OR
    Aldeweireld and Kepa

    Dilemma 2:
    Ings/Jimenez and Barnes
    OR
    Richarlison and Greenwood (benched gw1)

    Any ideas???

    • I quite like it. I don’t see anything wrong here

  4. Hey guys,
First proper draft of the new season. What dyu guys think ? Salah could become Bruno next week or I could hold my transfer for a week with Greenwood coming off the bench.

    • Looks good to me. I have my own reservations about benching Greenwood as I worry about his mins if they sign someone which I think they will do. However this has not happened yet so looks fine

  5. I’ve seen Traore in a few drafts. He has tested positive for COVID so I guess he’s unlikely to start the season

  6. Morning All.
This is my latest draft. Zero in the bank. Trying to get players who I think will play the most and get the most points….hard one to get the balance right.

    • Really like that Neilos. Looks good on the eye. The main reservation is the lack of Liverpool (except Trent), United and City. But I suppose Vardy can easily become Martial/PEA to KDB etc.

    • Shows how much better balance you can get with just one big hitter. Can’t really fault it

      • Cheers Smash. As I mentioned to GP, I think I’m set now….hoping to leave it and not tinker too much more. How’s your squad coming along?

        • There’s an article on my team coming and my thoughts in the next few days. It’s not as balanced as your team though

    • I like it! Risky with no Salah or LIV attack, but you spread of funds should hopefully make up for that.

The front 3 looks great in particular!
